Yikes. Grubb, Sheridan, Huff, and Shepherd all reportedly going to Alabama.
-
Doesn't mean Fisch is keeping them, just means that DeBoer abandoned his D coaches
-
He had to promise to do that to get the job…
-
Morrell had been with him since the beginning right? We wanted them fired too, probably wouldn’t have happened here though.
-
Yyyyyyep. And they're still getting paid for their services, so they're hanging out doing God knows what.whatshouldicareabout said:Doesn't mean Fisch is keeping them, just means that DeBoer abandoned his D coaches

Those coaches won us a lot of games this year when DeBoers offense shit the bed.
I thank them for their service.
And wish them well in their next endeavors -
Appreciated for sure but moving forward I want Pat Hill Tuff as opposed to Inge/Morrell serviceablePostGameOrangeSlices said:Those coaches won us a lot of games this year when DeBoers offense shit the bed.

more than once this season our defense had a terrible first half, then a great 4th quarter. Jabbar Muhammad mentioned at least twice that they, "got back to basics and base offense. Simplified the calls and reads, and just played football."
I wonder if having the 2 DC's as co-DC's was overly complicating things in the game plan? Like, maybe both of the coaches wanted to insist on adding their own little wrinkles and it resulted in a janky game plan that didn't work. We KNOW that the guys can get a team to play dominant 4th quarter defense, why can't they scheme up anything for the first 2 quarters?

No, Chuck Morrell is just an NAIA jerk off that was trying to do too much.houseofpain247 said:more than once this season our defense had a terrible first half, then a great 4th quarter. Moroever, DeBoor is NAIA jerk off that doesn't care about defense. It was and is a head coach problem.
