Latest Pete Carroll rumor seems completely ridiculous

Thanks Taft!

The only caveat is that he may want to be in the college football hall of fame and he would need 10 years for that. He only has 9 years as a college coach.
-
I don’t know what I think of the Pete Carroll nonsense yet, but I do know that every fuckhead 12 needs to fuck the fuck off and stay in their white trash lane.

idk what 12thmanrising is but that shitty website wont load for me. i must be behind too many proxies

5 years if Pete is not a bad thing. But he’s a mercenary, not the long term answer
-
-
Carroll with an NIL blank check to go ruin the sport would be the dark shit I might be on board for
Burn the whole fucking sport down -
I'm out, too, regardless of what this AD does. Because, it'll be underwhelming as always.GrundleStiltzkin said:

I always knew I’d hate the new AD, I just didn’t realize it’d be so soon.
-
And there are no long-term options in this sport anymore. Fisch or CarrollTheHB said:

I doubt Carroll would stick around for 5 years. Maybe he could be short-term stopgap to minimize the damage to the team.

Hire a young coach, he does well, he is gonna test the market for a desperate blue blood. Neither scenario solves anything long term.
It's just the way college football is now. Everything is very temporary unless you pay top of the market or are a blue blood. We are neither. Have to be creative. -
Hiring Pete the cheat? Just kicking the can down the road, awful.

I’ll take Pete. Even as a stop gap. I doubt it will happen though.

Cheating is legal now… let Pete really explore the space.
The sport isn’t going to clean itself up… go full bore and show them what’s wrong with it.
We experienced the last years of college football, it’s been in transition and is now officially semi pro. -
Honestly, I would just bring some NFL free agents in who identify has college students. When the NCAA doesn’t except it, sue the shit out of them.LoneStarDawg said:Cheating is legal now… let Pete really explore the space.

Edit: it’s 2024 and it would identify as a hate crime. -
Is there such a thing as cheating anymore? You have unlimited free agency without a salary cap. You can put spies on opposing sidelines. You can steal signs. It seems like every school can get guys enrolled who don’t know how to read. I want a robust sports medicine program that requires every player to take whatever Jose Canseco took to supposedly make him run a 3.9 and hit 600 foot dingers.

Pete would be an attractive portal option for players. Roster could get interesting after the next window
-
Carroll would re-stock the shelves overnight. 3 years of him and praying to real God that he is able to get a successor in place early would not be the worst idea (as long as they aren't a USC guy). Might even be crazy enough to work.

Pete would be an absolute legend here. Literally the most likeable and beloved coach in all of football.
Of course he's not fucking coming here you damp cum rags. -
Big tree, big publicity, NFL development, etc.Mooser42 said:Pete would be an attractive portal option for players. Roster could get interesting after the next window
His fame is 10 times any other coach in the B1G.
Would open up boosters wallets like an atm at a strip club. -
If you can't handle the ups and downs of this board I don't know what to tell you.RTD said:
