Friday morning update

"As many of you have likely seen by now, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian put out a video that reaffirmed his commitment to the school. As we've reported from the beginning, there was always a lot of skepticism he'd ever leave Texas given where the program stands currently, but that Saban thought very highly of him and that he was a person of interest.
Crossing Sark off, the other two names we reported yesterday to keep an eye on remain the same: Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer and Florida State head coach Mike Norvell. Have tried to talk to as many people as I can the last two days and these are the names that have consistently come up the most.
DeBoer canceled his local radio spot this morning which raised intrigue but it has been reported that he was going to meet with Washington AD Troy Dannen today to discuss a contract extension and raise. An industry source told me DeBoer has an offer in the neighborhood of $9 million annually on the table. That would more than double his reported salary of $4.2 million. By all accounts, DeBoer is happy at Washington and a good fit there.
Norvell was in the news Thursday as his FSU program was hit with NCAA sanctions related to NIL violations. Norvell was not in any way penalized but his offensive coordinator Alex Atkins will be suspended for 3 games next year and was hit with a two-year show cause penalty. From talking to industry sources, they believe Norvell is movable in part because of the ACC realignment drama. A lot of the noise on Thursday was about Norvell, though DeBoer has been the name getting the most attention over the last 12 hours."

Sounds like CKD and Sexton are giving Cauce, Dannen and UW leadership every opportunity to get their collective shit together.
Good for them. Either UW is all-in on a championship-contending football program or it's not.
And if it's not, let it be known to everyone and we can all move on with our lives.
Enjoy paying off that stadium and supporting Olympic sports with 40k at Husky Stadium week after week

I would be more than happy to add my morning meltdown to the Mora is coming list of misses

More likely I think they are waiting for late Friday to announce it. It's not like they wouldn't have put their best foot forward before now.Geevis_and_Butthead said:From Bama 247 site:

Also the bama Kim doesn't seem dialed in. No mention of kdb's daughter playing softball for uw. -
Been a whole lot more hits than misses over the years (despite your soft spots for Gilby and Slick Rick)RaceBannon said:I would be more than happy to add my morning meltdown to the Mora is coming list of misses

It they’re only offering $9 million, UW is not serious about football

Rumor: DeBoer is flying to Tuscaloosa as we speak
-
If UW can only offer him $9 million (even though the rumor is that he had a $10 mil contract before the playoffs and UW can absolutely afford more) then give him 8-10 years... Anything that Bama can offer, UW can offer twice as many years guaranteed, its not complicated.TheHB said:It they’re only offering $9 million, UW is not serious about football
