If Alabama offers Dan Lanning the job, I would imagine it's a done deal. Snake oil sales are at an all-time high in College Football. How else do these guys get greased up?

I don't think Alabama is offering him. I'd be pissed if I was an Alabama fan and that's who they offered. I'd hope Alabama goes after Deboer or Norvell.

    Lanning to alabama.. cook it.

He was an SEC coach and I can guarantee you he wants to get back to it and will likely get paid!

This would be wonderful as Oregon will continue to feel as though nobody wants them

Clown. Go waste your time somewhere else. You don’t know shit.

DeBoer is exactly who Alabama should go after. Incredible coach, a driven proven winner, even keeled, knows how to take advantage of the portal an NIL, …..etc.

Following Saban to that job though. Not a good idea. If it opened up, the Michigan job would be a better gig for him. The thing is, if the administration will pay him and his staff, there really is no reason for him to leave. Don James was in this position many times during his career, but chose to stay, uniquely build his own program and legacy. And outside of Mike Lude, the current administration is far more supportive than the one James had.

We’ll see what happens in the coming days/weeks, Washington better put its best foot forward, it would be stupid not to go all in on keeping DeBoer in place.

What makes you say the current AD is on the same page as KDB?

Because that’s not at all the messaging I’m getting from friends in the Tyee admin who deal with major giving initiatives and budgeting….

Not a popular opinion, don’t sleep on @thechatch’s sources.

I happen to know what neighborhood he lives in IRL, and thus the circles he potentially has access to.

Is it still the rumor mill? Yes.

Could he be getting pleasure by trying to fuck with us? Of course.

Are the odds greater than zero he is receiving a kernel of truth? Absolutely.

Personally, this message resonates due to effective silence on the issue from the KDB camp since the beginning of December and the fact he and Saban share the same agent.

I pray to REAL God he chooses to stay.

It’s just not about being a good coach, it’s having to deal with all the crazy boosters at Bama. Not sure that everyone wants that. I don’t see a good fit. Kiffin would be a good replacement for Saban.
