2024 Starters

RB: Cam Davis (DJ probably isn't coming back)
WR: Bernard
WR: Giles Jackson
LT: Klemm OR Jackett
LG: Buelow
C: Brailsford
RG: Kalepo (if he leaves, then Hatchett)
RT: Rosengarten (Azzopardi if RR leaves but I think RR will stay)
TE: Moore OR Cuevas OR Watson
WR: Hunter OR Boston
DE: BJ Green
DT: Tuitele (if he leaves, then Valdez)
DT: Bandes (if he leaves, then J. Parker)
EDGE: Durfee
LB: Bruener
LB: Tuputala OR Barr OR Bryant
CB: Dixon
Husky: Powell
SS: Dunn (I am high on him)
FS: Kam Fab
CB: E. Jackson
It's possible UW could return 4 starters on the OL and a bunch of guys on D who played meaningful snaps. Unfortunately, the roster is starting to see the two recruiting classes that Lake really negatively impacted (2021 and 2022) hit the core of the roster (RS-JRs and RS-Sophs).
He may not be ready yet but Elinneus Davis is a guy to watch for spring ball. He redshirted this year, I think after knee surgery but he should be a player. He's a 1-tech and moves well for his size. I think I recall reading that he was also a very good wrestler (don't quote me on that): https://hudl.com/video/3/13367022/632fb2b8f561220e4c1f82fa
Ok fire away you savages.

If Giles Jackson is the second best receiver on the team next year we got problems.
-
I’m hoping Davon Banks injury happened early enough in the season that he’s a factor in the CB competition. Hoping there’s 2 names on here in a month that we don’t know about today, preferably in the front 7.
-
I thought Bandes, Kalepo, and Tuitele all announced already.
-
Hunter over Giles
Rosengarten will be LT if he comes back. If he’s gone you might see Henning get some run at one of the tackle spots. He was in the two deep late in the year.
If Kalepo goes then it’s Landon over Gerien
One of the freshman, Bryant, Reed or Presley over Dixon
Barr and Bryant will be the second shift at LB behind AT and Bruener
I like Dunn too
Tuitele is gone, Parker, Parker and Davis need to step up
Don’t sleep on Lane or James to push Durfee for PT -
That secondary is a mess.
-
Rosengarten is playing LT if he comes back
-
Crisped that up for youCrispyEaterson said:If Giles Jackson is on the team next year we got problems.

Defense looks bad. Have to believe the portal will be adding guys to that offense.
I like Bernard and Boston at WR. -
DT and CB positions… yikes.

From one of the best WR groups in the country to one of the worst...
Im not sure Germ-Bern is much better than Mickens but that is a bad 1/2... throw in the fact TE is completely unknown (westy safety valve gone) and the RB is Tybo and a room full of amputees... not great
Unless the defense is on a Rino cum IV its hard to image they wont be terrible with such shitty DT/CBs... Is Bruener the most "exciting" guy returning? JFC
best hope is UW grabs 3-5 guys that are good but jumping ship from the coaching shakeup that is inevitable... will have to bid a lot though... -
That roster worries the shit outta me.
-
This is why people were retarded for blasting @FireCohen for saying 8-4. Our whole fucking roster is going to be an unknown.gmo said:That roster worries the shit outta me.

He went 11-2 with a 4-8 team

That wr crew is better than a lot of what the conference trotted out there. Still better than the majority of the big10.Houhusky said:From one of the best WR groups in the country to one of the worst...

Hunter and Bernard are a good tandem. 3rd wr is up for grabs but some intriguing guys. -
Will Roger's is no Penix but he's experienced. Could make up for lack of experience at WR. We really need another DL portal grab or two.

If they have Tuitele and Bandes starting next year Breckterfield should be tarmaced in Gaza

Tuitele just announced he is retiring. It sounds like the injuries piled up.Canadawg said:If they have Tuitele and Bandes starting next year Breckterfield should be tarmaced in Gaza
I don't really blame Breckterfield for the DL issues b/c the 2020 class had no DTs in it and the 2021 class was a total bust there. To salvage the 2022 class, he found the Parker twins and J. Parker could end up being above average.
But I'd feel a lot better if they brought in another transfer at DT, haha ideally a high 4 or 5 star from Alabama who is sad about Saban retiring. -
WR room of Bernard, Hunter, Jackson, and Boston is a downgrade but not totally devoid of talent.
Our DT situation is BAD. If Bandes retires we're down our top 4 snap getters. -
Rashid Williams could be nice surprise to the upside. He redshirted and had a very good offer list.houseofpain247 said:WR room of Bernard, Hunter, Jackson, and Boston is a downgrade but not totally devoid of talent.

I like Boston, he's been filling out and is a legit 6'3" to 6'4".
But yeah, DT could be BAD. Counting on a transfer (Valdez) and a RS-Frosh (Davis) along with J. Parker (lower rated recruit and will be a RS-Soph) to be the top 3 guys doesn't bode well for the 1st season in the Big 10. -
Bernard is plenty good. Boston was a rising star just a lot of talent ahead of him. Players and coaches speak highly of Boston.

No wonder DeBoer hasn’t signed the extension…

, but 8-4 with the current roster is good outcome (and great coaching job). more looking forward to 2025 being special

Rick was 8-4 year 3

He had a large response yesterday that spells out that everyone is still pretty devastated over the loss.DoogWhisperer said:No wonder DeBoer hasn’t signed the extension…
