Eh, Manziel is a generational athlete. Not sure I'd compare anyone to him.

    like Marriota?
Mariota isn't leading that A&M team to those wins. Not sure how he would respond to playing from 2-3 scores down almost every game.
Don't believe the hype. Manziel was very good but without Mike Evens I'm not sure he wins half those games. Mariota's never had a guy he can just heave some crap up for and know he's coming down with it like Evans did for Manziel. If I knew he'd stay healthy I'd take Mariota over Manziel if I had to win one game.
Also, take a peak at the OL Manziel played behind... Some really good players in front of him.
The media would like us to believe it was Johnny putting the team on his back, but the rest of the offense was loaded. Great OL, great WR's, and Sumlin always has a terrific system for a QB. Case Keenum broke records in it at Houston. Kenny Hill would get an invite to New York right now too.

You are correct about all those things. The one thing I would add though is that Sumlins' QB systems do not account for the 1400 rushing yards in his Heisman season. You could definitely say that those are a byproduct of the strain it puts on the defense and a great O-line, but I would say the O-line would be more responsible for the passing numbers and allowing him great time to find guys like Evans. Many of those rushing yards were scrambles that turned into 50-60 yard TD's on sheer athletic ability.

I am an unabashed Manziel homer and I won't try to pretend otherwise. I'm pretty sure you guys can tell that by now, but I can say with full honestly I've never seen anybody want to shove it up the other team's ass more than Manziel, ever.

Three first rounders on offense and Sumlin still lost four games last year.
