This was my first thought. How many times has Kwat been at his desk after hours drawing up plays only to have his co-DC stop by his desk and ask "I'm hotting the bar. Not coming in tomorrow. Choate was co-DC with PK at Texas before he got a head job in Nevada. Not sure PK cares about the title as long as his check clears and he gets to call the defense. Also as someone who has gotten a head job in Nevada myself, I can vouch that it’s always better to get a head job.

This isn't anything like that. Everybody is a "co" coordinator these days. Kwat called the plays alongside Choate, he's surely calling the plays alongside Nansen.DerekJohnson said:
