I don't think they'll learn, it's who they are.
They made the same calculation against running out clock vs. Oregon State (a 20 yard back shoulder on 3rd and short in the rain and connected). -
No excuse not to take a knee on 3rd. At best, Texas gets the ball with about 10 seconds from their 20 after the punt. They aren't going 2 plays in 80.
