Miles has a crappy arm, receivers can't get separation... and well quite frankly, can you name one NFL player on our roster right now (other than maybe John Ross)?ThomasFremont said:We looked like we had 3 plays: RB up the gut for 2 yards, drop back for

The offense was so bad it didnt even provoke an emotion from me. I just sat there like a vegetable connected to a feeding tube. Phineas Schiavo. Awful

To be completely fair, Man Tits recruited Troy Williams over Sefo as they were in the same class.MisterEm said:
So glad Sark passed on Sefo...
But your poast is well noted by the fact that Sefo and his 7 TD passes yesterday would have been better than any of the QBs Sark put on this roster in his 5 years here. -
It's worth repeating. Miles didn't take a snap in the spring. I'm ok with the decision, but that would have helped.
Also, I'm not looking it up, but Stanford's defense is really good in a league known for 63-56 games. It's also a league that is at least as good as the XII, and top to bottom is as good as the SEC. Still, six points won't cut it, and this team doesn't have the talent to rely on d and special teams. Blaming Sark for the qb situation, while probably valid, doesn't help. He's gone. I think Mike Damone is right. We are going to have to endure another bleah eight or nine win season. I don't really see this team going six and two from here, but it's not completely crazy either. They are probably going to have to stick with Miles for the yr., but I don't see why the competition won't be open again next spring. I really really really can't see him being your three year starter though. He Would have to work with Dan Marino a lot in the offseasons. -
Before you guys doog too tuff for Sefo, remember that he was playing against Cal's defense.

Sefo > Miles > Lindquist > Williams
very well could equal
Neuheisel > Sark > Gilby > Ty

Why was the offense still so vanilla in the first meaningful game of the season?
We looked like we had 3 plays: RB up the gut for 2 yards, drop back fordeepthrow out of bounds/scramble for loss, and fake punt.
Stanford was blitzing Miles all fucking game and we never burned them for it once.
Maybe our OC is still learning....
2002 - 2003 Oregon State (GA)
2004 - 2009 Idaho (QB)
2010 - 2011 Montana (OC/QB)
2012 - 2013 Boise State (QB)
2014 - present Washington (OC/QB)

no wonder our offense is highly suspect -
I don't have a strong opinion on Smith yet, but he looks like he has down syndrome. Anyways, Petersen always had good offenses at Boise and was a really good coordinator before becoming head coach. Pease was his OC for one of those years and they were great. Petersen gets the blame for any coaching issues with the offense. His specialty is offense. It's his job to point Smith in the right direction and to have Smith call plays how he would like.uzi said:ThomasFremont said:Why was the offense still so vanilla in the first meaningful game of the season?
