Cam Ward Update

Chinteresting. If he's visiting Miami, he must just be after the biggest bag.
-
Good I hope it backfires for that greasy piece of shit Crisco
-
Boy I can't imagine a worse coach to go to if you're a QB. That would simply feel like unnecessary bag chasing.
-
Cristobal won a Rose Bowl with Herbert but no one had any idea how good Herbert was
The Miami qbs have been trash -
An all expenses paid vacation to Miami plus a little extra spending money just for showing up?
PLUS some high caliber south beach poontang to boot?
I'd take a trip to Mario Land for sho. -
If he chose Miami he is too dumb for this offense anyways. I think he will end up at uw/sc/uo/tosu
-
Fair. Fair. I wonder if portal recruits are doing the thing where they ask for money just for a visit too?animate said:An all expenses paid vacation to Miami plus a little extra spending money just for showing up?

At some point he will have to hand everything over to a real OC and simply be a figurehead and recruiter.RaceBannon said:Cristobal won a Rose Bowl with Herbert but no one had any idea how good Herbert was

He can build a great offensive line and can assist there but should play the role of CEO for everything else.RoadDawg55 said:

I dont want Ward

Who do you want PGOS?PostGameOrangeSlices said:I dont want Ward

I feel like Ward is the bar. Gotta clear it. Can't afford to go any lower.PostGameOrangeSlices said:I dont want Ward

I think I’d rather have the rambling man Will Rogers
-
I want whomever the coaches think is best. I’m skeptical that Ward can run this system in year 1, but I trust the coaches to pick someone who’s got the right stuff. If they think that’s Ward, it’s good by me.PostGameOrangeSlices said:I dont want Ward

he is not Penix, but still would do well under boner/grubb.PostGameOrangeSlices said:I dont want Ward
Are there any other prospects that we could go after that look better options? -
It's gonna be Ward or Will Rogers. Totally different strengths and weaknesses. Will be very chinteresting to see which route they want to go.
-
Pull a Caleb Williams while you're at it and demand a piece of the university's endowment.WoolleyDoog said:

To me Ward is a bigger version of Heaner. Heaner was known as a gunslinging turnover machine at Husky practices and DeBoer/Grubb wrangled him in and got him drafted. Like Heaner did at Fresno (Oregon, Hawaii, Boise), Ward will lose UW a game or two by a sloppy play with the ball but will win them a game or two they shouldn't (UCLA, almost Oregon) because of sheer brilliance in this system. With Rogers they better hope DJ comes back or that they can snag another war daddy to tote the rock (TWILTCI, TTR), because I'm not sure he can win games with his skills alone.
-
The intriguing thing about ward is his biggest weakness (ball security) could just be the result of a poor OL, in which case going to UW (who should bring back 4/5 starters I think?) could be an immediate fix for that.
-
Ward is intriguing. Cannon of an arm. Scrambles and is a playmaker.ntxduck said:The intriguing thing about ward is his biggest weakness (ball security) could just be the result of a poor OL, in which case going to UW (who should bring back 4/5 starters I think?) could be an immediate fix for that.
Developed bad habits back pedaling which creates massive sacks and at times is throwing passes from 12 yards behind the line of scrimmage.
Also is not the brightest. Continually will run out of bounds a yard short of the 1st down marker instead of extending the ball which makes me question his football IQ.
His oline has been terrible and they have tried the bo nix approach of quick short passes. I think with a better oline he could break those habits and be pretty good. -

Ive seen Ward shit his pants way too many times -
Why would UW want him? He's a 5th round pick, at best. No thanks. Demand more.
-
He’s thrown some absolute dimes v Oregon the last two seasons. Throws into windows that some nfl qbs can’t make.AtomicDawg said:

Yeah @JoeEDangerously has made a good point over the season that the offense could be interesting to watch with a QB who isn't Penix talent wise and elite throw wise but who is just doing to take the throws that are there and not throw picks. Not sure if Rogers is that guy because looks like his int numbers are high for college football in 2023, but Ward is definitely a guy who is going to throw 2-3 "don't throw that" passes in a game and it's going to depend on if the defender makes the pick or not.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

I've gotten used to a QB that throws 50 yard lasers and don't want to go back. Ward is the only one available who has the arm strength to make the throws that Penix makes...as far as I know anyways.ntxduck said:

Ward has games like @ UCLA that he literally loses by himself -
Only taking 3 visits
Washington , FSU and Miami
I don’t see how he goes to FSU given the situation there. That leaves Miami and Washington. How does he leave for Miami which is drek? -

Give him a bag, convince Polk and J-Max to return. Obviously Ward can see Penix on stage, and knows what this coaching staff can do. Wasn’t Heaner up there as well in terms of voting. Not a finalist but consideredanimate said:
