Nix is better than Browning. Credit is where credit is due. Browning takes the sack or throws a pick there. Otherwise, looks exactly the same.GrundleStiltzkin said: -

Saw some things, learned about dolphin dicks. 9/10 would view again -
So many I'd like to comment on but I have a bad thumb right now and it's not easy to type.GrundleStiltzkin said:
I got my brother interested in UW and the race against Oregon this year. He's not a Husky fan or even a football fan anymore though he played it at a high level as a kid and did quite a bit of youth coaching too.
Anyways, after the game he tells me that Nix is going to be a good pro. (I replied " you mean check down Charlie?"). Says that his passes are spot on and he always hits his guys in stride. Penix throws balls in the area and his great receivers just make adjustments to save him.
So I told him to rewatch or check some highlights and pay attention to the relative difficulty of the passes Penix is throwing nearly every drop back compared to Nix. He's routinely making ridiculous throws like this one covering 40+ yards in the air into tight windows and awkward angles. Passes like the one above are hard to hit in shells with no defense.
He called the next day and admitted that Penix is playing a different game and that it's more impressive. I know he's loathe to admit it. He doesn't want to like UW for some reason, plus he dislikes lefties as a matter of policy (which I don't really disagree with but make an exception for Penix). -
There's that ridiculous throw again that most teams would never ask their QB to make.GrundleStiltzkin said: -

The 2 picks are almost mirror images of each other.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
Seen this from 2 different angles now and Nix is close to being down but got the ball off to make the throw.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
Watching this only emphasizes the need for pant stripes. Should have broke out the 🪠

He's been a baller this year.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
Kamfab ending up being good has been massive in the games he’s played. If all of our safeties are healthy they aren’t that bad??backthepack said:

Blow Dix could make that throw 1000 times and complete it maybe 4. Fuck off with that completion percentage.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
That is why WE deserve this team.GrundleStiltzkin said:DJ's pass block. It's remarkable that among everyone's favorite plays is a blitz pickup by a running back

LMAO. 40+ yards in the air to a guy running a deep out who has just barely beaten double coverage. Find me one other QB who makes that same throw regularly...or at all.
And I don't just mean college QBs. I wince sometimes when I hear the phrase "NFL throw". NFL teams don't put that on their QBs much either. It's a recipe for disaster. The league is full of Checkdown Charlies. -
Need to find another Penix, Rome and Westover somewhere then pay DJ and Troy to stay for another year.

There were bad moments but overall this was one of the better officiated Pac-12 games I can remember. Case in point here I was just waiting for Powell to get targeting here. Also was ready for them to fuck up his interception.LawDawg1 said:

I disagree. This game was a reffing horror show for a variety of reasons:WoolleyDoog said:

- McMillan beats a Duck CB in the first half and gets held, badly. Penix throws a bomb that McMillan cant get to. At minimum automatic first, if not a back breaking TD. No call and UW punts.
- Blo Dix throws a pass to no mans land while likely in the pocket, no grounding call. Ducks score a TD on that drive. Not even a conversation about it, no replay of the box, nothing.
- Trice gets held and tackled on a 2nd and long play with Ducks on their own 20 yard line. No call, and Ducks march down the field to score.
- Ferguson scoop TD catch off the grass. Maybe he caught it...we will never know because there was no replay and no other angle besides the skycam.
- DPI on Muhammad on a 3rd down Nix misfire. This one Fowler and Herbsteit actually said was pretty soft. Ducks score a TD on this drive instead of a long field goal attempt.
I am usually not a wef blamer, but this was actually the biggest fuck job of the season against UW. I was fuming. There is a legit argument we were robbed of a TD and Oregon was given a TD due to the refs in this game. -
Didn't think it was good and it's a pathetically low bar. I think one thing I did notice with the Pac-12 wefs this year is toning down the targeting calls. There were a few times Nix just chucked the ball and I don't know if he even knew there was a receiver but I also feel like the wefs are hesitant to call grounding and look for any reason not to.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

Coaches knew what they were going to run, ran the twist knowing it was a draw and to delay the open defender till after the guard got up field.great callGrundleStiltzkin said: -
