That would make sense. Maybe they're looking for the next Daniel Jones?
-
I don’t understand
-
So he's got a degenerative shoulder that can throw a 60yd dime?
Ok. -
No clue. Possibly a Duck troll trying to make the Huskies look bad?
Or a team that wants Penix and doesn’t want others to take him? -
-
Will he play for the Huskies next year ?
-
I hope for penix’s sake the giants do stay away from them
-
At least 25% of the league would be stupid to not take a flyer on him considering the drek QB they trot out every week. 3-4 years of him and and above avg D and you’re a playoff contender.
NFL decision makers are dumb fucks. -
Delete this dumbshit. Why even put it out there . Markell crashed a motorcycle during his rookie year. That’s a different storyvadawg said:Was talking with a family member yesterday during Turkey Day. He’s a scout for the NY Football Giants. Word in the NFL circles is that Penix has a degenerative shoulder injury. I’d never heard this but, he was pretty adamant and his team is steering away from Penix as a prospect.

I can appreciate not using a 1st round pick on Penix cause of the injury history. But man, seems like a pretty low risk proposition to take him in the second or third.dirtysouwfdawg said:At least 25% of the league would be stupid to not take a flyer on him considering the drek QB they trot out every week. 3-4 years of him and and above avg D and you’re a playoff contender.

If someone like Geno Smith can have a long career in the NFL, Penix certainly should be able to.YellowSnow said:

Then again, I’m not an NFL scout or a guy named Kiper so what do I know. -
This! Fans that watch players for 3-4 seasons know about guys potential than the losers in the NFL. Their egos get in the way time and again. The QB evaluations are horrid. For instance, Zach Wilson.dirtysouwfdawg said:

The only thing I see holding back Penix is injury. Especially with how many dud QBs are starting games.TheHB said:

Fuck off for posting this here. I wouldn’t have a problem with it in the wam, but you shouldn’t be putting shit like that on the main board.vadawg said:Was talking with a family member yesterday during Turkey Day. These are the things to leak to a team you don’t want to take your client.
Penix’s agent knows his shit. -
Tell your “family member” he sucks at his job. I’d rather shoot myself in the knee caps instead of watching the Giants. Shit organization and shit team.vadawg said:

Penix probably doesn’t go top 5-10 but a team like Minnesota picking in the late teens or early 20s could take a swing on him.
I call absolute BS on the shoulder thing. It doesn’t show up at all in his play. -
his delivery looks funny, but the ball gets there with easeCFetters_Nacho_Lover said:Penix probably doesn’t go top 5-10 but a team like Minnesota picking in the late teens or early 20s could take a swing on him.

So play him 4 years or whatever on a rookie contract.

Didn't this happen with Chris Polk? We all were surprised he wasn't drafted, and when he wasn't, it was reported that he had a degenerative shoulder condition, which none of us had heard before, and even Chris Polk denied.
Always thought that was strange, and wondered how NFL scouts obtain such information. Do they just assume an injury *might* be degenerative and therefore it's not worth the risk? -
As long as Penix’ shoulder doesn’t degenerate in the next four games (SWIDT), why the fuck should we care?
-
I assumed that came up at the combine.Fenderbender123 said:Didn't this happen with Chris Polk? We all were surprised he wasn't drafted, and when he wasn't, it was reported that he had a degenerative shoulder condition, which none of us had heard before, and even Chris Polk denied.

Not true. They nailed the Daniel jones pick and then rewarded him handsomely with that well earned contract.rodmansrage said:

Polk had multiple shoulder surgeries in college. I think he dislocated it a few times too. He also just put a ton of miles on his body the way he ran. I don’t think it was a big surprise that the NFL had injury concerns.Fenderbender123 said:Didn't this happen with Chris Polk? This. He always had some kind of brace apparatus on one of his shoulders, you could see it halfway down his bicep.CatGut said:

The 3/4/sidearm delivery is more the issue.
-
Calling bs on this.

LOL at the outrage directed at a dumb rumor posted here, as if NFL scouts are getting their information on Penix's medicals from an anonymous poster on this site.
