Talked to somebody who was disillusioned a bit by UW. Kind of the typical stuff. Kid was passed over for international tuition dollars, but also that McDavid was / is a douche to former band members. I know I'm not a fan. He kept ignoring my requests for a halftime show in honor of @PurpleBaze and his explosive massive dong. Almost like this:

McDavid expunged all the fun out of the band. He's boring and arrogant.

If he's been there for 30 years, I will have to take everyone's word on how awful he is as I don't think I can recall anything about the band prior to his tenure. The band was much cooler when I was in school. Yeah, it was a million years ago, but still.
