I agree, but if you put Reggie in this scheme it would be comical

Reggie never had to play as a quadruple amputee.Sources said:I agree, but if you put Reggie in this scheme it would be comical

Rather easily

Reggie was GOAT from day one, Rome has improved game to game
-
Rome would still be better. Rome beat the Beav by himself last night. He was the only receiver on the field who didn't have his hands dipped in Crisco before the game. While Polk was busy trying to resurrect the spirit and energy of Petersen era teams to shit the season away, Odunze carried the offense in his backpack.Sources said:I agree, but if you put Reggie in this scheme it would be comical

Reggie never had to play in the high leverage and high pressure moments that Rome has played in. Not his fault that his teams topped out at 8 wins but Rome’s clutchness to make plays to win multiple games on 11+ win teams gives it to him in my view.

Reggie beat plenty of teams by himself. Let's keep it real.CuntWaffle said:

Reggie had a false start penalty that killed a game in Tucson. He was not clutch.
Rome is bona-fide gamer. Reggie could have elevated teams but he didn't. -
He's caught way more than he's dropped, but stillCuntWaffle said:

Me too, and I am calling last night an anomaly since we ended up winning but man did he completely shit the bed. After the first few drops it was mental. The whole "taking the golves off" (Hi Race!) to try and catch it better was when I knew he had mentally checked out of that game. Sure enough first ball thrown his way just completely through his hands again.DerekJohnson said:

His shit talking before the game about wanting the rain made him look real bright when he fucked up over and over.

I hope rome doesn't fall to the chronic in the pros ...

Reggie's biggest accomplishments were destroying Trufant in the 2001 and 2002 Apple Cups. He faded once the team fell apart under Gilbertson.

The passing scheme under RN/Gilby was light years behind what UW is using now. The OL was shit so it basically amounted to getting Reggie the ball quick at the LOS and praying that he could break 3-4 tackles and get a first down. -
Completely agree. Reggie was a great player, but an idiot and a diva. Rome is better in nearly every way (Reggie was slightly more physical). IMHO, Rome is the best WR to have played at UW and may be the best in college football this year. He is nails.Kingdome_Urinals said:Reggie had a false start penalty that killed a game in Tucson. Reggie was more athletically talented and physically dominant, but Odunze is not far behind in that regard. He also plays smarter, and seems to have more of those general receiver or "football player" skills that guys like Steve Largent and Jerry Rice had. Not saying Odunze is the next Jerry Rice, just that Reggie seemed to mostly rely on his athletic talent, whereas Odunze does not.
Both are all-time Husky greats. If I had to pick, I'm on board with Odunze. That catch he made to seal the victory was incredibly clutch. It was contested, it was rainy, it was thrown into a tight window...He's a fucking hero. -
This kids has delivered in every game, even in the abomination of the ASU game. Reggie’s a little bigger, but he’s not really more athletically talented. Rome is faster.Fenderbender123 said:Reggie was more athletically talented and physically dominant, but Odunze is not far behind in that regard. Is Rome really faster? For some reason I thought Williams was this cheetah and Rome was a gazelle… both fast. Williams loos faster in comparison or is that just my old eyes playing tricks on me?RoadDawg55 said:

Reggie was drafted top-10 before receivers became the second most important players on the field. He would be insane on this team with Penix throwing to him. Rome is also great and seems to have "it" beyond whatever his metrics are.

Paul Skansi would like a word…☝️

I think he's right that Odunze beats Reggie in a sprint, however Reggie had a rare burst for any size and was more of a threat to take a short throw to the house.dirtysouwfdawg said:

I saw Reggie do some dumb obstacle course against the two other Williams in that draft (Roy and Mike). I think it was prior to the draft. I was excited watching the other two guys look pretty slow at itz thinking that Reggie was going to blow their doors off. Instead he looked like an OL running and was so out of shape he barely finished the course.
I had a bad feeling about the direction he was headed, and that turned out to be right. Too bad. Rome isn't going to have those issues. -
Think back to the Rome punt return against Cal. Didn't look fast. Left everyone in the dust
-
I remember a Paul Arnold punt return that was similar. Didn't look fast, but he dusted everyone. Efficient stride I suppose...RaceBannon said:Think back to the Rome punt return against Cal. Didn't look fast. Left everyone in the dust
