    1960 Rose Bowl MVP

Was this a “National Championship Game” ?
It certainly meets the stringent UW standards.
Talking football history with Ducks is like talking about the past with Germans. They avoid the subject.
I think the main issue is none of you can keep your stories straight.

My favorite modern Husky trend is hating Oregon so much you’re now discounting everything you used to hold dear.
My stories on Oregon vs UW have always been straight.

I hate Oregon. I danced on the Zero in 2002.

    1960- 2023 UW Football > 1960- 2023 UO Football

    2003- 23 UO Football > 2003- 23 UW Football

I like living in Oregon. Cool fucking state.
I think you got some numbers mixed up above but I understand the intent and agree.

So what makes you think we don’t like talking about history?

There it is. Did anyone die?
I think there are stereotypes of each fan base that often hold in real life. I've talked to plenty of Duck fans over the years who attempt to equate Washington with Minnesota. Not saying this is you guys, but there's more than a few.
You're not Minnesota. You've had some success more recently than Minnesota. But you are like Minnesota in the sense that your best years are behind you.

Well, it's pretty fucking hard to top the success that UW had from 1990- 92. But here we are at 20-2 under a new coach fighting for a play off berth.

@iDawg and I invented the Minnesota comparison on our pod cast

The point was once you accept losing the easier it is to keep losing and the harder it is to win again

Minnesota was a dominant power from the 20s to 1960

    Not much since

    A cautionary tale

That was GOOD podcast. The first sports ball podcast I ever listened to.

Minnesota has 8 titles. Huskys have always exaggerated their accomplishments.

I would recognize any that are legit polls, as always. Not random newspapers or bakeries.

I’ve been very clear in this.

2 of their titles are from Helms. The same outfit that crowned UW in 60

    A couple from Billingsley retroactive

    I rest my case

    I win 🏆

Steve Emtman in a roid rage. No, Emtman was legit. Just like Brian Bosworth.

They both had eerily similar college and pro careers.

Minnesota was a great program that accepted losing and never recovered

I was able to combine my hatred of Oregon into a magical day of dancing on the 50 at Autzen, tail gating with Emtman, and smoking a fresh bowel with Race and talking shit.

The Ducks hadn't begun their ascent to National Brand status yet.

So are Brian Bosworth, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGuire and Jose Canseco (the “Bash Brothers”), all cheaters like Emtman that used anabolic steroids during the same period of time or shortly thereafter.

    What’s your point, Race?

    2002 : Washington, 42-14.

    I was there too.

You smoked a fresh “bowel” with Race?

    Glad the experience was memorable.

Those early 2000s UW teams was peak "beat Oregon, nothing else matters" years for UW. Imagine being a 6-6 squad with a losing conference record and dancing on your opponent's 50 yard line after beating an unranked Oregon.

Just two short years after "celebrating" the BIG victory over a crappy Oregon team, Washington would go 1-10 and not win a single conference game. It would mark the first of 12 years in a row that UW would end up losing to Oregon and the two programs have never been the same since then. We became the National Brand® during the next 12 years and UW became a laughingstock and a punchline that they have never really recovered from.

Causing some of their fans to create elaborate conspiracy theories about Oregon's uniforms and to dust off some Bread Company's trophy from the early 60s and hold it up as evidence of their past greatness.

When you’re in your mid 20s and drunk as shit in Autzen you don’t get hung up on minor details.

Just win the NW Championship, Baby.
