Does WSU have any decent finance/accounting/statistics/logic programs?GrundleStiltzkin said:
Because if UW every year in Seattle is not better than Wyoming, Idaho and Hawaii in Pullman then they should probably just drop football. -
I got called “the worst kind of Husky fan” on Reddit for pointing out that the Apple Cup is now meaningless and unlikely to continue.
Maybe one day I’ll finally make it to “Duck fan just trying to make Washington look bad”. -

Quite honestly I've called for this since football was invented
Michigan's rival is Ohio State not MSU
Even before football was invented going back to my youth the Oregon game was a bigger deal to my dad(s)

Both Iowa and Penn state play Ohio state the week before we play them.

I was told by the Sandy vag cougs and wilner that uw to the big would mean a lot of Friday games for uw. Where's my Friday kickoffs???

They reserve the right to move any of those to Friday.AtomicDawg said:I was told by the Sandy vag cougs and wilner that uw to the big would mean a lot of Friday games for uw. Where's my Friday kickoffs???
But still: Michigan, Penn State, and the LA schools who we've gotten screwed out of by the shitty Pac forever. Well worth getting that along w Rutgers and Indiana.
Cry Wilner. You're going to be covering Cal at Syracuse next year. -

Man SEC and BIG teams are going to have to get used to an extra loss every year on average. Losing two conference games won't be a season ender

It's happened because the playoffs expanded -
And the Big 12/ACC is and has always been its own form of relegation.Canadawg said:Man SEC and BIG teams are going to have to get used to an extra loss every year on average. Losing two conference games won't be a season ender

UW gets 5 tough games, on average it is 4 or 5 hard games for each team in the B1G schedule. Sounds like fun to me.
Tough teams in my opinion OSU, Mich, PedoSt, USC, UCLA, Ore, Wa, Wiscy, and Iowa. MSU and Purdue every 4th year.
Easier teams Indy, Ill, NW, Minn, Neb, Mary, Rutgers. I might have missed someone. Not used to B1G having that many teams -
I'm glad they didn't throw us Michigan State for a 3rd year in a row. So nice to be in a conference that is actually run like a responsible business.

Glad Oregon is our last game. We won't have to hear how they were the better team after losing to us for the rest of the season.

Selfishly I wish the Oregon game wasn't Thanksgiving weekend going forward ...
Besides that, the Cougs are going to let their pride get the best of them
The best path forward for Oregon St and Washington St is to play as many top programs as possible, stay as relevant as possible, and maximize football revenue to cover as many sports as possible
Instead, they are going to allow their pride to get the best of them, have massive cuts to their athletic department, and become an absolute doormat
Just hate to see it -
Do you though? If they're dumb enough to choose pride over finances can you really be sad?Tequilla said:Selfishly I wish the Oregon game wasn't Thanksgiving weekend going forward ...

Guess that means Wisonsin is the real UW
Wash -
Cuogs are being fucking retarded here. They've lived in a neighborhood way above their income level for decades. Now they are pissed when all the neighbors are packing up to moving to the next stop in the income ladder.
Sorry, you belong in White Center, not Madison Park.
Get over it and start DIY'ing your place with cash, not somebody else's credit card.

I am fine with a neutral site game. Going to Pullman is dumb though and does not benefit the team or the fanbase.dtd said: -
I could see a home, away, neutral site (Lumen) rotation. 1 out of 3 in Pullman seems about right.AtomicDawg said:

This would be like Colorado going to Fort Collins. Or Texas going to Lubbock to face Texas Tech. You have to draw the line at some point.USMChawk said:

Nah, it’s not like the path to relevance isn’t obvious. If you’re too stupid to take it, you’re too stupid to give a fuck about.Tequilla said:Selfishly I wish the Oregon game wasn't Thanksgiving weekend going forward ...

No way in hell should UW EVER play in Pullman again. It’s a dealbreaker. If the Apple Cup continues, the worst setup UW should agree to is every other year Husky Stadium/Lumen Field. Let Cuog claim Lumen as their home field in even years. If Seattle is full of cuog as they claim, it should be more than fair as an arrangement.
Oh, and UW picks the dates for the game every year.
