Question on two predictions

In my e-mail box was the Beacher or Breacher or whatever it is sports site. I don't know how they found me, but I'm now on their mailing list. Anyway, I clicked on the predictions list for this weekends games According to the article, so far this season they are batting at .800+. They have Stanford beating us by a score of 20-16, I'm not surprised about that prediction. Two that caught my eye were USC over Oregon State and the Cougs over Utah. I believe the odds are that they will be off on all three predictions. I don't see the pirate crew being able to snuff Utah's momentum and there is no way in hell Sark will out coach Riley. And i think that our 2nd half momentum from last week intensifies and we pull out a win against the tree.
My question is why would a football forecaster ignore the key coaching differences in the matches. The list all the reasons why they believe one team is superior but no mention of a key, maybe 'the key' factor in the game--the field generals involved.

You mean like the Oregon State game? #:-S
-
Sark has a caged beaver at practice
-
Or do you mean like the Boston College game?
-
Oregon State doesn't run spread/zone read...plus Storm Woods sucks.
SC wins with talent on that one.....easy pick -
Please don't bump this one

Sark is a genius when it comes to play calling and he has had two weeks to prepare. No one gets more out of players he hasn't recruited.
-
if someone is claiming .80 with the spread included they are full of shit.
I don't think that OSU is all that great and they don't run the ball. The utah pick is probably more about a big letdown after blowing out michigan. -
The Solid Verbal poadcast picked Stanford, which means a lock for Washington cuz they've been horrible picking this season.
-
SC is great defending the pass ... ask Boston College

1) I think UW taking the points is the right play simply because the odds are that Stanford scores somewhere in the 20s. 7+ points is a large number in a game played relatively close to the vest.
2) Oregon State's inability to run the ball will cause them problems in that game ... plus Sark's had Riley's number the last few years.
3) The Coug Utah game is 100% dependent on who is starting at QB for Utah. If Wilson I don't see the Cougs doing well in this one. If the backup, then I'd probably lean to the Cougs. -
Lots of ignorance about the Beavs in this thread. PM me for details.
Or not. -
Are you picking the Beavs? They will have a lot of support here Saturday night. The USC BC game thread was an instant classic. Best game thread everTheGlove said:Lots of ignorance about the Beavs in this thread. PM me for details.

This is a message board discussing the game. Seems like a great place to spill your info or thoughts on the game. -

I like the Cuogs in this one.

I'm really disappointed no one has mentioned how Riley does more with less.
