Rushing just committed to oregon ... is he two stars "better" than Wilhite?
has anyone here man-boy-loved these two and can you compare-and-contrast? -
I only care about the guys coming to UW. *We may lose some guppies but we'll gain some king salmonanimate said:Rushing just committed to oregon ... is he two stars "better" than Wilhite?

In all seriousness I TBS'd Wilhite's highlights and he looks pretty good. I haven't seen the other guy's. -
Anybody know rushings dads Twitter?animate said:Rushing just committed to oregon ... is he two stars "better" than Wilhite?

Reminds me of when we got 3* Haouli Kikaha and his high 4* DE teammate went to Notre Dame. *Yawn* on the other guy.
-
Well I hope it ends up reminding us all of that. Jamora/Kikaha looked destined for goodness if not greatness from the beginning. A dude from Hawaii on doogman, who had no connection to either of them was adamant that Jamora was the better prospect throughout that cycle.Quietcowskee said:Reminds me of when we got 3* Haouli Kikaha and his high 4* DE teammate went to Notre Dame. *Yawn* on the other guy.

jamora/kikaha was really good until his injury. robbed him of his explosiveness
-
I went to the Raise the Woof event when Kikaha was a freshman. I somehow ended up at a table with him. Nick Holt came around and told everyone Kikaha was gonna be a stud. I wasn’t sure what to believe because it was Nick Holt saying it.chuck said:

He said in a radio interview after the season that it was hard on the defense because their best player got hurt for the year early on. Whomever it was doing the interview was taken back by it and asked Jamora? And he said yeah.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

Didn't he have 18.5 or 19 sacks as a senior?animate said:jamora/kikaha was really good until his injury. robbed him of his explosiveness
-
yeah, something like that ... what I was trying to say was that I was rooting for him to do well in the big league but he sustained a knee injury iirc and then was just a shell of what he could have become. He was really coming into his own.chuck said:

I wondered if you meant that but the truth is I lost track of him after UW so I wasn't sure. Thanks for the explanation.animate said:

New Orleans for a couple years, then no warning, just gone.chuck said:

He’s currently the WWE heavyweight champion.

From his highlights, I like Wilhite a lot. He looks like a SDE to me and has very good instincts / awareness. Rushing has the higher ceiling for the NFL but Wilhite could be the more productive college player:

Explain to me like I’m a child how one could have a higher ceiling for the nfl and the other be more productive in college.HFNY said:From his highlights, I like Wilhite a lot. Some kids have the talent ... but it takes time to develop physically and skill wise ... add college coaching (hopefully) and scheme plus steroids and training table and they can peak for the NFL.
Like Bralen Trice.
Some kids are maxing out in high school and can do well in college but don't have the ceiling to have the same impact in the NFL.
So, HFNY is saying that Wilhite may have a bigger impact in college ... but I think Rushing has a better frame (like 2 inches taller) and if he can max his potential may be a better NFL guy.
I always think of Scooby Wright and BBK. Very good college linebackers but could not translate that success to the NFL where everyone is bigger, stronger and faster. -
TYFYS. So rushing is trice and wilhite is bbk?animate said:Some kids have the talent ... but it takes time to develop physically and skill wise ... add college coaching (hopefully) and scheme plus steroids and training table and they can peak for the NFL.
