Hallmarks of UW football are defense and running game. Neither is great under DeBoer, so when the rest of the team doesn’t compensate (i.e., Penix and the passing game have a bad day) old-timey fans get irritated. It may not be rational, but it’s what we grew up on appreciating.

Their position coach is a great recruiter and evaluator of talent but has never coached a good run blocking OL that didn't have Gaskin/Ahmed behind it. -

Some of these D coaches gotta go. MWC level coaches aren't going to get it done in the Big 10.
