Polk, Jmac, or both?

What thinks you?

If anything, it will be JMac due to the injury. I think Polk will go. He's ready.
-
It's crazy that Polk could play two more if he wanted to, but I think he's gone.
-
Polk has been a revelation and has kept blanket coverage off of Odunze in the absence of McMillan
-
Polk won us the game just as much as Rome did, with his leaping grab against double coverage. He was covered.RaceBannon said:Polk has been a revelation and has kept blanket coverage off of Odunze in the absence of McMillan

Only reason to return is a higher draft grade if he's the WR1NorwegianHusky said:It's crazy that Polk could play two more if he wanted to, but I think he's gone.

A lot probably depends on who will be starting QB next year. Or not. I don't fucking know.
-
I would put JMac on a shelf until USC or Utah.
Maybe he would come back next year to put up bigger numbers as a no. 1.
Honestly, I’m fine with all leaving as long as we natty up this season. -
None are coming back
-
Yeah, I doubt any could look better than they do with Penix. They’re not going to want to adjust to a new guy who will be worse than mike, which is guaranteed.HuskyJW said:None are coming back

All depends on the draft grade and NIL. If they're seen as second round or later, and NIL comes through, they could make more money playing at UW next year and potentially raise their stock at the same time (assuming UW gets a QB, which I would bet on DeBoer doing).

People forget a lot of this bored thought Rome, Penix, Trice were gone last year
People forget -
I think it also depends on when and how well McMillan comes back. If he comes back in a few weeks and isn't super productive does he need another year to prove he's an NFL WR? I love his game but he's small and slight. Gotta remember because of Covid he's actually been in college now since 2020.
Polk to me even with what he's doing seems like a possibility if he can get a good NIL and show what he can do as a #1 option. -
And a non lefty to boot. They're going to have to set the jugs gun back to default.Kingdome_Urinals said:

If I'm an NFL scout, I'm not recommending my team draft McMillan until later rounds. I would want to see him come back and be productive first. Otherwise, red flags are flying everywhere.WoolleyDoog said:I think it also depends on when and how well McMillan comes back. If there was QB they think put numbers up, but all 3 are gone because of that uncertainty
-
Even a 1% chance on Trice? Seems like 0% and I know sacks aren't everything but certainly seems like it could be concerning he has one sack halfway through the season. He looks a little overly bulked to me.
I know he's getting double teamed and held and the team lacks other pass rushers, but I've given shit to certain other teams' DEs of getting hyped despite not getting a ton of sacks so I think it's a fair question. -
I like Trice, but I've always felt he was overrated to a degree.
Hope he proves me wrong the last half of the season. -
I think both are back. It's a deep draft class for WR this year, and some website that ranks kids says they're 14th and 15thPostGameOrangeSlices said:Me thinks one if not both of these guys are coming back next year do to our elite NIL for proven assets.

They'll move up from the mid-rounds in 2024 to the early rounds in 2025 -
Old school you always go pro. Williams shouldn't have returned to USC because he loses luster every week
New school NIL let's you get paid and then paid again. The players are having fun which you should in college
As others have pointed out next year might not be as fun or productive
Nice problem to have but fuck next year
The future is now -
Other than the injury, what red flags? Other than a drop against Tulsa, he was dominating before he was injured. He was good last year and looked improved this year.TheHB said:

10 wins is the expectation at DeBoner's Warshington
@whatshouldicareabout nailed it I think. Come back, get paid, boost draft stock
Trice should stay another year at this rate, too. -

In the NFL he might go the way of Ross and Pettis if he doesnt bulk up a bit more -
When all 3 together, not sure anyone can stop this offense. When 3 on the field creates opportunities for other dude that are solid like the TERoadDawg55 said:

If I was in their shoes, early 20's and have an opportunity to get paid very well playing college ball, I'm staying. The NFL's initial contract would be great but if you STAY and get paid, then tap into the NFL, it's a win-win. The only thing that might stand in the way is a really pathetic QB and injury, but under DeBoner, I would bank on a competent qb
-
Just look at Seattle's 1st round Smith-Njigba. #21 pick got $7.5m upfront. 2nd round pick got $2m upfront. A 3rd rounder gets about $1m upfront. All have the same $750k base salary year one.dannarc said:If I was in their shoes, early 20's and have an opportunity to get paid very well playing college ball, I'm staying. NIL will prevent the 2nd and 3rd rounders from going pro but not the first rounders. -
NFL teams don't like players who seem fragile. I'm not saying he is, and I'm not saying he won't be the next Keenan Allen, but I think NFL reps will want to see him play at a high level before the season is over before they recommend investing millions in him.RoadDawg55 said:

I wouldn't be surprised to see Polk get a first round grade. I can't see him coming back for a fifth year.
-
Seems like Jmac coming back is probable if not likely, unless he gets back on the field soon and has sustained success. Polk is the #1 on most other teams and seems like a 2nd rounder worst case. Would be unreal if he came back but unlikely. The offensive skills positions are stacked and players are going to want to come the UW for the targets, opportunites.

Wonder if Rosengarten comes back
