How long can we keep DeBoer?

Is it all about the money with him or is he the kind of guy who would take less money to stay in a good situation? I have no idea. I pray to @SpiritHorse that we can hang onto him for at least 2-3 more years.

Where would he go?
Edited to say I missed the next 2-3 years part. If DeBoer takes Huskies to an NY6 appearance/playoff next year, he can write his own check. -
Aggie and usc are both opening up this year. I don’t think he’d be interested in either tbhTheHB said:Where would he go?

Forever.

He’s at $4.2m this year.
The new AD was able to keep Tulane’s coach after suitors came calling last season, so he’s shown some aptitude in similar situations. -
As long as we want if he gets paid.
-
I suppose it’s not out of the realm of possibility but I get the sense he’ll stay put after this year.ntxduck said:

Until Jim Harbaugh goes to the NFL Unless Seattle NIL picks up. No reason Microsoft shouldn’t be giving out electric Tesla’s powered by Windows, boats and jet skis from the marina , house boats instead of the crew house.

Yeah I edited my post—kdb doesn’t seem like the type of guy who wants to deal with the bs involved at either of those jobs.TheHB said:

Michigan, on the other hand, I would worry about (if Harbaugh goes nfl) -
Riley is a hot NFL target. Everybody says so.LawDawg1 said: -
As in Southern California? Of the Coney Island "Still Would Owe Lincoln Riley 90 Million Dollars" Southern Californias? Does anybody know how high his buy-out clause is? I don't think anyone else is paying it, and I don't think USC can afford to fire him. It's either scandal or the two are stuck with each other for a while.ntxduck said:

Lincoln Riley isn’t getting fired but I could definitely see him jumping to the NFL if someone is dumb enough to hire him.

Lincoln isn’t leaving for another college job. And he’s already in initial discussions with a few nfl teams. He wants out of college football badly.1to392831weretaken said:

I don't see USC pulling the plug on Lincoln Riley after this season unless the wheels totally fall off.ntxduck said:

A&M will probably open up, I don't see DeBoer as a fit there but would Lanning be interested? I still think he is a good coach, a great recruiter. He is from the South and seems to me more like an SEC guy. Gus Malzahn could get a look too. -

I’m not sure I’d call Kansas City the south. Aggie will go hard after elko if they’re smart. So they won’t -
We will pay DeBoer what he deserves and he isnt going anywhere

Jen doesn't make those decisions... SC boosters have WAY more say than she does.LawDawg1 said: -

Deboer needs to get at least 7.5 next year up to 9 or so and a top 20 NIL income for players. Dannan better have Folgers at the office -
"We" gotta keep his staff as well. Budget is going to have to go WAY up to keep Grubb and gang.

Even if he went to the NFL, wouldn't he or the NFL team hiring him have to pay his buyout? Like I said, I don't know how big that is, but I don't see him as so great (never coached a good defense) that an NFL team would want to pay that.ntxduck said:

We gotta use way more energy complaining about the defensive staff. Grubb is a good OC and probably helping with the Oline quite a bit. Meanwhile Inoke Breckerfield is the only coach that's group hasnt gotten better over the past 2 seasons. Inge as well with the LBs and coordinating the front is troubling.Kingdome_Urinals said:

There was a LOT of money at the stadium yesterday. Barring the floor completely falling out from under this team, there is no way Dannen shouldn’t be able to find a major cash infusion to:
Boost KDB to $8M+
Boost valued assistants and replace any perceived dead weight
Boost NIL however/wherever KDB sees fit -

It was a huge marketing win for UW football. Stadium looked great, packed, loud, Huskies nutted up.FireTheJanitor said:There was a LOT of money at the stadium yesterday. Big day for the program, I agree, to deliver on that stage. -
Yeah, defense could be better and there are a bunch of nobody coaches on that side.Canadawg said:

But his offense has scored 31 and 36 in its last two games. That's bullshit.
The talent is there, they should be in the 40s, no excuses. -

He needs to realize that against better teams with a two possession lead, he needs to grind them down by taking what they give him, demoralizing them, and killing their will to live.
If UW goes up by 19 that game is fucking over. Grind out the clock and rest the defense. Even if you only get a field goal off an 8 minute drive, its a massive win.
Enough of the 45 second 3 and out bullshit with the lead. We have seen it against Texas and Oregon. Zona he was actually doing what Im asking for, but the Germie fumble led to a 14 point swing.
They won the games which is great, but it is really annoying for me to watch the quick possessions and punts. Especially when the run game was decent. -
How about Grubb makes the oline push a thousand pound sled one yard a few hundred timesPostGameOrangeSlices said:
