He has commented several times about how surprised he is that the campus is so beautiful, that there is sunshine and that the school is "so close to Seattle."
McAfee also said that he thought the minute he got off the plane, he would be hearing boos from people for what he's said about WSU but has been surprised at the positive reception he's received. He also noted that in talking with DeBoer, he understands that rich, weed-smoking, shit-talking UW alums are everywhere and that NIL should be no problem here.
If McAfee is so ignorant about UW and Seattle, it's understandable why so many others east of Bellevue are. Membership in the B1G will have its privileges.
