The schools who have squawked the most are the ones who have sucked ass and are at the most risk of being relagated.
Colorado knows they would get relegated to streaming, so they're puffing their chests out and going to ESPN+. -
UW remains relevant if they land in the B10 or B12
If they think they can pull in a bunch of minnows and all is fine … then this is the end of UW as an Athletic Department as we’ve known it -
So worst case scenario we'll be like TCU but a bit better.Tequilla said:UW remains relevant if they land in the B10 or B12

It's clearly all going to Superconferences within the next 10 years or so. So I don't think it's all that worrisome whatever happens in the next couple of years, long term.
-
Perhaps. But a delta loss of 20-30 million per year for 10 years or so plus hit on recruiting and coaching will make a difficult transition once we are finally at the big boy table.gmo said:It's clearly all going to Superconferences within the next 10 years or so. I would agree if it's 10 years. I think UW lands in a big boy conference within 3-4.LawDawg1 said:

The Networks don't want to drag all this out another 5 years let alone 10.gmo said:

Only saw the rumor of FSU/Clemson earlier today regarding Tuesday.

Thanks to primetime, he put nail the pac-12 coffin. Hopefully schools are not stupid enough not to make bidness decision

I've said this many times ... but go do a ranking of football programs over the last 15-20 yearshaie said:

You'd be surprised at how high TCU is on that list ...
Definitely more accomplished than UW over that period

You do realize that TCU is 3rd in the existing Big12 in annual revenues for an Athletic Department?
The TCU ignorance is pretty amusing -

I enjoy fucking with you.
And TCU can kiss the fucking ring. They lose to UW last year.
I dunno some rich asshole at the Austin airport paid for me to get drunk after seeing my clothes. He was either TCU or an A&M fan.
Texas cfb fans don't really bullshit from what I could tell. They knew Washington was a solid if not very very good team last year. -
Third tallest midget? Congrats. So two minnows make more money and put TCU's athletic accomplishments to shame. While the other minnows just put TCU's accomplishments to shame.Tequilla said:

Got it. TCU is now ABSOLUTELY no better than I thought previously. Thank you for keeping it under 1000 words. -
Its shocking that we are in this unenviable position. Hoping the b10 lets us in for a partial share. Or join the weak ass b12. Or bring in sdsu, bsu level programs in what will offially be the worst p5 conference in football. All I know is that I am going into 23 like its the last real chance in the foreseeable future to have legit rose bowl/playoff hopes.

UW has been at a massive financial deficit to B10 and SEC schools for a decade. They are still competitive with them when they have the right coach. If they are in the B10 at a partial share they will compete with the best in that league. Recruiting would pick up because you are now in a league that is perceived to be able to compete for titles and they may actually have a real shot to lock down DeBoer long term. Joining the B12 will keep the lights on for all the athletic programs and they may be able to maintain competitiveness until 2030 and finally, remaining in the P12 would be an AD killer. 35-40m>31.7m>18-20m. I’d also like to see what UW upper campus would do when introduced to other administrations that love playing school and love competing for titles. Maybe that introduction would prove to some at UW that the two aren’t mutually exclusive. They’ve been rubbing elbows with Stanford and Cal too long. It gave them AIDS.Penace said:Its shocking that we are in this unenviable position. Hoping the b10 lets us in for a partial share. Or join the weak ass b12. How about since 2012 when TCU actually started playing real teams consistently?Tequilla said:

UW also has more CCs and less embarrassments in the playoffs -

UCF/Colorado 67,000+
Tech/Houston/Cincinnati 40,0000+
BYU 34,000+
Kansas/ W Virginia 25,000 +
OSU/ K State/Baylor 20,000 +
Then Iowa st is only 10+% bigger than tcu at 13,500+
tcu 12,273
(approximate numbers).
But hey, on the field, tcu only sucks a little (I am being generous) more than Hawaii who kept their blowout loss to UGA halfway (compared to tcu) respectable.
Give up. You are not nearly as smart as you think you are.
