Waving a flag like some bottom-feeding Cuog is just pathetic, IMHO. If our fans were going to do it, they should have jumped on the chance way early. Now that dipshit Cuogs are getting some PR, some Doogs have decided that they'll show up and wave a Husky flag behind the Corso/Herbie/Fowler lemon party. -

Any other school no big deal - but if UW EVER thinks that anything Coog is a good idea, then you have given up all the gains you've made over them for the last 120 years -
It's kind of corny and dumb, but there are a lot of other schools' fans that do it. Oregon's marketing, while effective, is crass, annoying, tacky etc... we do have kind of a tradition, or maybe had. We should never be a follower. Of them. Ever.PurpleBaze said:

It's all about the Benjamins. If the AD thinks they can generate revenue this way, then they would be stupid not to come up with a bunch of uniform combos. I don't think that tradition stuff matters much any more. It's about "what have you done with me lately". Like I mentioned in a different thread, I'm a middle-aged white guy. I'm not a fan of the new uniforms, but I understand why the AD is doing it. I don't think the younger generation really cares that much about keeping uniforms simple, etc. They want to see the flavor du jour.
Like it or not, the Ducks have been kicking ass, while our program has been shitting on the field. I used to be totally against emulating Oregon. But, I have changed my mind over the past couple of years. I'll even make a confession here... I like the Ducks' helmets. I don't care much about some of their ugly uniforms, but the helmets kick ass. The shiny wings design is cool. -

to me you have it backwards firemarshall. at least copying Oregon was contemplated to lead to something good, i.e., better recruits, better offense and thus more winning.
the flag thing is something that fits the cewgs and in that way it's kind of satirically funny. for us, it comes off as pathetic. to me at least.
