That’s my OL Coach!

Recency bias

1 part scheme, 1 part returning experience (for the 2022 season), and 1 part recruiting.

The head coach is the only position that matters poast of the day

I'm in this camp too. I suppose that for the line coaches, though, the OC plays a role. It depends who has the final word on specifics of the scheme. I blame Petersen entirely for Huff's struggles as I think every part of that shit offense was on the head man. Changing the OC only made it worse.PostGameOrangeSlices said:The head coach is the only position that matters poast of the day
Under Lake I imagine Donovan designed or chose the blocking schemes. It's still 100% Lake's fault they were bad, but the OC definitely restricted how well the OL was going to play. -
Thanks Taft!

Thanks Nacho!

Don’t forget the BPE gets rid of the ball. He’s not standing back there over thinking like brown socks, or have receivers who can’t get open like Eason, or running the ball at every opportunity only to be forced in 3rd and long like Morris. I don’t think it’s all one aspect but a combination of events.

Very true. Penix can go with his pre-snap read a pretty high percentage of the time, especially on neutral pass/run downs. That's a lot of pass plays over the course of the season where the sack risk is zero.NeGgaPlEaSe said:Don’t forget the BPE gets rid of the ball. Browning and Morris didn't get snaps like that, ever.
Still the pass pro last season was crazy good. -
It's never been that HC is not the only position that matters. It's just that no other position matters until you have the right HC.PostGameOrangeSlices said:The head coach is the only position that matters poast of the day
Once you have the right HC they need to get (and keep) the right staff around them.
Right now we have the right HC and Huff looks like part of the right staff. Tim well tell.
