You're a better man than me. I want ALL dRATs to suffer immense pain. Fuck them all!
And the bitch of it is that the idiots who voted for Joey Bro because Trump's tweets made their nether regions sore, will now be subjected to his tweets again.

    WIN/WIN.

Sounds like Joe’s economy wasn’t as good as the hype.
Tech companies voted for Joe. They get what they deserve.

I heard if you voted for Trump and his energy independence agenda it was too bad for you when Joey was installed and you lost your job in a dying industry.

The hiring was nuts and I think in tech number of employed is still higher than like 2020. I do like though when unemployment is super low because I find it slightly amusing to hear everyone bitch about how hard it is to find people.

Like no, it's just hard to find people at the shitty wage you want to pay

during Covid Amazon doubled its employment, Meta by 94%, Google 57%, MSFT 53% (WSJ, look it up).... Apple only 20% it is no wonder there have been layoffs given inflation/war

Smart tech bros are some of the dumbest business people on the planet. Watch virtually every episode of Shark Tank - MIT, Stanford MBAs get slaughtered by the Sharks for being greedy, short sighted bastards with overinflated egos relative to their contribution to society simply because they can slam standardized tests.

    See also doctors of yesteryear.

No street smarts. Fuck them. Enjoy the bread line.

The Throbber has a lot of @haie in his life for tech bros.

In my experience it was a lot easier to get rid of those people so I didn't have as much of a problem. Especially junior devs. Your performance is easily trackable.

The people who pretty much made my blood boil on a regular basis were the retards who leeched off of what we built and were, and as far as I understand still are, glorified order takers. If you're supposed to sell, sell and I can respect that. If you're doing market research, give me some fucking workflows and customer stories. If you're SE/Imp, don't just flip a pile of shit situation at the engineers with little/no information present.

Just sitting around being a leeching fag because you are friends/family with the owner, basically it got to a point where they were told to stay the fuck away from me.

My outside view of it has been that the big tech players were paying ridiculous amounts of money for relatively routine talent because of labor shortage and the thought that they could continue scaling for ever increasing cash flow, and that's the hubris.

Real tech money, to me anyway, belongs in the entrepreneur class. Real tech is pushing the boundaries and creating new shit, and THOSE guys are the ones who ought to be paid. Same as ever: big risk, big reward. Rank-in-file engineers making 7 figures is not a sustainable model.

    Or whatever.
