Theoretically could? Yes. Is it realistic? No, I don't think so.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

You think in an all out blitz NATO wouldnt have blown the fuck out of the Russian military on every front?
The US could do it by itself.
F22s, F35s, and cruise missles would rain hell on Russia that this world has never seen.
The US is without peer and it isnt close. Then you throw in the UK, France, Poland, Turkey, Italy, Germany, etc. etc....
No one wants to invade Russia itself and claim a bunch of swampland. -
I'm fucking bord, injured, it's raining and I can't play golf. I see 200+ more poasts on this aids thred so why not? Always up for learning something especially how to better suck Putin's cock;-)GrundleStiltzkin said:Holy fuck guysm. Bandwidth Massacre, pun chintended,.

Russia aligning with the west would almost guarantee a world free of major wars for the forseeable future -
My issue is what is the endgame? And what if Ukraine really starts kicking butt and Putin ratchets it up.... we don't want nukes, even tactical ones. Putin has fought this war without those... let's not provoke him.RoadTrip said:
Thank you for considerate discussion. A few billion is one thing but several hundred and potential troops is quite another. Not saying we're there yet so please don't twist. I just don't see how this ends well the more entrenched we become. I never thought I'd be a pacifist but the older I get the more I am and I don't trust our government. The stories coming out on Vindman prove how corrupt our is and the support for Ukraine and war with Russia are fraught with fraud. -

It is, in that regardless of how the US would act, it is a principle. That's the definition of what about ism.
ATBS, I said I would play, now explain, why would Mexico want to align itself with either of those countries(existing) alliances?
You can't move on to discussing the terms of y-variable when you haven't set the predicate for why, or how, a deviation from x-principle might be justified.

The city of Bakhmut found this interpretation of the facts charming.PostGameOrangeSlices said:
Ukraine is about to launch a major offensive with new and improved weapons versus what they have been using previously. They are in a position of strength here, and if they want to keep fighting versus appeasing the tyrannical regime that has raped their country, that is their call. I support their right to do that.
You, and other, want to reward the aggressor with concessions and negotiations.
LIFPO.

Cluster bombs. Clearly the moral choice. Russians won't care. Or they just start dropping cluster bombs on the Ukrainians. Doesn't seem like the Ukrainians are desperate or anything. So much shredding.

Again, this is where your understanding of history fails you.PostGameOrangeSlices said:
Ukraine doesn't need to revoke NATO aspirations. Russia could BE in NATO if it wanted to.
You are what is called a "useful idiot"
Putin did in fact ask William Jefferson Clinton for Russia to join NATO and was rebuffed.
Considering NATO's charter was to be a defense alliance the former Soviet Union, the joining of NATO by Russia would render the necessity of that charter inherently moot.
Chess, not checkers.

Bakhmut is a city of 70k that Russia has spent 9 months trying to take, and still hasnt fully taken.pawz said:

Whataboutism is a scarecrow used to avoid a principle that ought be universally applied. #LibertarianPrinciplesUW_Doog_Bot said:
Tell me why Russia has a right to dictate sovereign countries alliances under the threat of invasion. Go on, try it without going to the what about the US mattress.
Also, none of you seem to be able to answer why these countries don't want to join CSTO and have such an interest in NATO. It's a real head scratcher.
Mind you, they have borders with other NATO members.
Russia has a right to all lands adjacent to Russia!
Ffs you guys don't even make 50 page threads about US border security.
