CypressI’ll throw out a vote for Cypress Island. Most of it is state owned.
Orcas number two with Eastsound, Moran State Park, Mt. Constitution.
San Juan is great with Friday Harbor, Roche Harbor, the National Historical Park, and Limekiln State Park.
Fidalgo is great too with Anacortes, Mt. Erie, Deception Pass, and across bridge and channel from La Conner. -

Why is Orcas so special?

I liked it when I went there but I don’t think it was special. A friend had a house on the north side of the island and in the winter you could see the ski slopes at whistler at night. Beyond that, it has some cool views/scenery but you could see most of the same on other islands in the sound.Doogles said:Why is Orcas so special?
