Black eye for any leftard attorney. Look at the clown Ketanji Brown Jackson they just confirmed to the Supreme Court. She and barry are both Harvard Law grads and they certainly didn't learn any Constitutional law from that worthless school.BleachedAnusDawg said:

As we careen onward to third world status for much of the US, we can look at the continued push by the left and RINOs to make Americans and illegal aliens a dependent population. Not hard for two able bodied people to each make $20 and hour and between them make $80,000 a year together. That's enough to feed and shelter a couple. In Oregon, one out of five households is on food stamps. The current expectation that someone else is responsible for sheltering and feeding you and your kids and that your job is to surf the internet on your government phone and smoke dope isn't a societal long-term solution. With the massive legal and illegal immigration into the US how does a leftard think this is going to end? Toss in our national energy policy to bankrupt the American middle class and things are not getting better.

One of the bigger issues in WA is that justices are elected, and often run unopposed.LebamDawg said:This gal is on the top court in Washington State?

The biggest issue in a deep blue state like Oregon or Washington is that you generally need to be a hard core leftard government employee or a big democrat donor and you get appointed to your initial state judgeship. That's what happened to Judge Bjelkengren with her Superior Court (not Supreme Court) judgeship. She got appointed from a career with the Washington AG's office and then as a state administrative law judge by Chinslee in 2019. She then ran unopposed twice for re-election. She has a thoroughly unremarkable career except that she is black and not married (whatever that means). In practical terms, it's almost impossible to be a conservative state judge on the West Coast.huskyhooligan said:

They should be elected by district.huskyhooligan said:

Generally, the lower court judges are elected by county. But still originally appointed by the governor. You can get conservative judges in a red county, but their is such a low population. The Portland, Salem, and Eugene metro areas have by far the most of the voters. Even Bend/Deschutes County is going at least purple as Snow and the Californians flood into Bend.BleachedAnusDawg said:

Having solved Portland's crime and homeless problem, Portland turns to the big problem of EV affordability for poor people. Now, if transportation really was a priority for poor people, they should be buying a decent basic gasoline powered used compact. But, that really isn't the motive for a green gaia religionist. The motive is just virtue signaling. No thought about the actual environmental problems with electric vehicles and in spite of massive government subsidies, which go a lot further if they provided for poor people to buy a decent used gas powered used car, poor people will be limited on using EVs.

Why do Portlanders murder children all over the globe in the mining of metals for their batteries?
How fucking racist is it to ignore the cancers and deaths of South Americans, Africans and Asians - mostly children - caused by the Greedy Green Charlatans? And the devastation of their lands and fresh water supplies?
Fuck You Racist Anti-Environment Portland Fucks.
With whatever rusty machinery parts you can muster. -

https://www.opb.org/article/2023/01/29/washington-democrats-mandatory-voting-election-proposal/Numerous Democrats in the Washington Legislature are backing a new proposal to make voting in elections compulsory. Citizens are required by law to cast ballots in about 25 counties but in no other U.S. states.
Republicans in Olympia described the idea as "un-American."
State Sen. Sam Hunt (D-Olympia) said he got the idea for what he calls “universal civic duty voting” from a recently published book titled “100% Democracy” by E.J. Dionne and Miles Rapoport. Democratic Senate Majority Leader Andy Billig of Spokane mailed Hunt a copy last year.
“As a member of the Senate, once the majority leader sends you something, it sort of gets your attention,” Hunt said in an interview. “So, I read the book and it piqued an interest with me.” -
