Black eye for any leftard attorney. Look at the clown Ketanji Brown Jackson they just confirmed to the Supreme Court. She and barry are both Harvard Law grads and they certainly didn't learn any Constitutional law from that worthless school.BleachedAnusDawg said:

As we careen onward to third world status for much of the US, we can look at the continued push by the left and RINOs to make Americans and illegal aliens a dependent population. Not hard for two able bodied people to each make $20 and hour and between them make $80,000 a year together. That's enough to feed and shelter a couple. In Oregon, one out of five households is on food stamps. The current expectation that someone else is responsible for sheltering and feeding you and your kids and that your job is to surf the internet on your government phone and smoke dope isn't a societal long-term solution. With the massive legal and illegal immigration into the US how does a leftard think this is going to end? Toss in our national energy policy to bankrupt the American middle class and things are not getting better.

One of the bigger issues in WA is that justices are elected, and often run unopposed.LebamDawg said:This gal is on the top court in Washington State?

The biggest issue in a deep blue state like Oregon or Washington is that you generally need to be a hard core leftard government employee or a big democrat donor and you get appointed to your initial state judgeship. That's what happened to Judge Bjelkengren with her Superior Court (not Supreme Court) judgeship. She got appointed from a career with the Washington AG's office and then as a state administrative law judge by Chinslee in 2019. She then ran unopposed twice for re-election. She has a thoroughly unremarkable career except that she is black and not married (whatever that means). In practical terms, it's almost impossible to be a conservative state judge on the West Coast.huskyhooligan said:

They should be elected by district.huskyhooligan said:

Generally, the lower court judges are elected by county. But still originally appointed by the governor. You can get conservative judges in a red county, but their is such a low population. The Portland, Salem, and Eugene metro areas have by far the most of the voters. Even Bend/Deschutes County is going at least purple as Snow and the Californians flood into Bend.BleachedAnusDawg said:
