I'd be strongly disappointed, but not circling the wagon.
Oregon and USC are tossup games. Losing one is likely. Losing both would be a huge disappointment.
Losing any other conference game in top of both would be really bad and signal a lack of improvement. -

I'd be disappointed but not storming the castle.
My expectation is 10-2 regular season. Anything better is great, anything worse I'm disappointed.
If the defense shows real improvement early in the season I might recalibrate but right now I expect them to cost us one we will be real frustrated by. Penix is amazing but no QB is putting up 40 points every game. The defense doesn't have to be great but it does have to step up. -

10-2 and getting to the conference championship game is the expectation I'm letting myself live with. In my head lose one of the tough games (at USC, at Oregon State, Utah I don't think they're great but they're solid and it's tough timing) and an off game you probably shouldn't (Arizona, Michigan State, ASU for some fucking reason).dnc said:I'd be disappointed but not storming the castle.

I'm not even putting into the universe losing to Oregon. Won in their place last year and return more this year. Losing will also kill a lot of early momentum in the season.
