I still believe it was a discount hire but I'm gonna LIPO. I'll jump on the train if DeBoner can at least bring home the Braxton Clemen Memorial Trophy next year -
I missed a lot of these early Deboer threads.
I'm an OG grower for Deboer -
Let’s waiti till he has to replace a generation QB before we crow his ass. A lot of shit coaches went the distance with generation QB

He wasn't a generational QB until DeBoer resurrected his career. He was rotting at Indiana throwing more picks than TDsFireCohen said:Let’s waiti till he has to replace a generation QB before we crow his ass. A lot of shit coaches went the distance with generation QB

Just reminding you all that I was the lead pumper for DeBoer. FIRST AND RIGHT.HFNY said:I was the lead promoter (pumper?) of DeBoer and I mostly like his hires. Courtney Morgan was a great get. Beckterfield too. I trust his judgement on Huff and Adams, especially because Adams kept JB and Boston in the fold and Huff / Morgan should keep Big Josh home.
Would love to see Juice Brown get a good corner and safety for this class. Beckterfield / Morgan need to nab that DL from CA who is currently committed to Michigan.
I see a Pac-12 North title in year 2 or 3.

This gets lost in the shuffle so often it’s kind of crazy. Fats made Penix, not the other way around. Plenty of data for both guys without each other for those interested.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

Jake Haener went from a midget throwing horrible pick sixes against Cal, to a remarkably solid midgetFireTheJanitor said:

"But Petersen wanted to start Haener and didn't do to booster pressure"
Things doogs say. Petersen played who he wanted to play and could give a shit what anyone else thought of him, especially media and boosters. -

I still have a questions about Grundle’s deep-seated hatred for the Dutch, who are in the AP Top 10 for beautiful women on a per capita basis.

Jesus...nobody called Penix a generational QB until he started taking snaps at UW. Could the difference be...coaching? The fact is a lot of our? guys are playing much better under DeBoer and his staff. We've got a coach.FireCohen said:Let’s waiti till he has to replace a generation QB before we crow his ass. Other way around. Let's wait until he doesn't turn a limping has-been or a P5 castaway into a Heisman contender before we assume he can't keep doing it.FireCohen said:Let’s waiti till he has to replace a generation QB before we crow his ass. It’s been one season. LIPO. The schedule next season will be a greater test. Objectively the defense still needs work, they need to tackle better and while the offense was very solid it had a few chinks in the armor (not of the chin subtype) that were occasionally exposed.
I think what impressed me most beyond Big Penix Energy was Deboner brought the team together, they believe they should win, and in the trenches they became formidable by the end of the season. Texas fans point to being down a starting running back in their Alamo Bowl loss, but what I saw was dominant play at the LOS by the Huskies on both sides of the ball. They pushed Texas around and brilliantly ran long scoring drives. That is the foundation for a football team that can win at a high level.
My view is I generally like what I see a lot. Deboer could become another Don James, but it’s way too soon to tell. -
McBeefery needs some serious credit, Jimmy had them averaging 332lbs and not ready to rumble, Ron came in and got the boys in shape
-
I'd like to see better than James
-
It’s funny that 11-2 again next year will be disappointing

The secret sauce to a winning program rests exclusively in the nutsack of the HC. Always and ever.TXDawg said:

The OL has been garbage and now its really good. Catalyst: DeBoer.
Apply that to every aspect of the program.
The LBs and DBs are garbage, but they got better and actually believed in themselves and tackled the shit out of Texas.
Look at USC defense, it got worse and worse over the season. Reason? No Deboer. -
A lot of Penix sucking by all the Doogs these days. He’s good, very good. But not great, nor generational. Whatever the fuck that’s supposed to mean. Would’ve loved to have him on my team in 2022, so don’t twist.
He’s literally head and shoulders above Midget Morris so that elevates his perceived status.
As usual, low IQ doogs give too much credit/blame on the QB.
As the astute @Kingdome_Urinals states, it’s all about the corches and DeBoner’s got it going on. -
I've been saying for a bit now McKeefery may be the most important Coach now in the offseason. We saw a handful of dedicated kids that came in with transformed mindsets and bodies. Every kid that expects to play next season needs to be thinking "Bigger, Faster, Stronger"dannarc said:McBeefery needs some serious credit, Jimmy had them averaging 332lbs and not ready to rumble, Ron came in and got the boys in shape
We'll start next season Top 15 make it to 4-0 we're likly looking at Top-10 positioning. The beauty this season was the ideal that UW success was a fluke that was about to come crashing down any game and it never really happened after the ASU game. They'll see us coming this upcoming season but our Defense should be better and even the offense. Penix Jr make the offense go but we're still talking about the first season of the new scheme year 2 is going to have some solid improvments from the guys in the system. -
Id be fine with 11-2 if it comes with NY6 hardware, or a competitive loss in the semi finals. Fine, but slightly disappointedLoneStarDawg said:It’s funny that 11-2 again next year will be disappointing
It's crazy that we have almost reached natty or bust status for this team. -
I honestly don't remember my take on the hire, but I do remember Jenny showing up at the Fresneck Airport in leopard prints.
This league sucks. We'd be like 9-4 in the Big "10" East. But it seems like he knows what he's doing -
