Kudos to whoever the mastermind is here. I laughed at the twitter doogs who thought our proximity to Amazon, Microsoft, etc. was some kind of boon as if any of those companies would ever bother to pony up for college athletes who provide no ROI. But using the tax-free employee charity match program to tap into a large pool of semi-wealthy alums is a legitimate stroke of genius.
Still, this could've been put in place 12 months ago. -

Back when Mrs Snow worked at one of those large Seattle tech firms, she donated to her college basketball team and the company matched. Pre NIL and not football, of course, but still.GreenRiverGatorz said:Kudos to whoever the mastermind is here. How long until Montlake Futures is deemed a non-charitable organization and any donations made non-tax-deductible? (I'm clearly not income tax superiority guy.)
Write those checks today! -

It's "tax-exempt" not "tax-deductible" -
Oh good, the annoying semi football literate football chicks in the office might chip in $75. We're on our way now.

IRS FS. But so am I. How does a tax-exempt donation work? My smooth brain knows the tax-deductible game.whatshouldicareabout said:TheHB said:How long until Montlake Futures is deemed a non-charitable organization and any donations made non-tax-deductible? This part begs to differ.

Looks likes deductible at 100% like Tyee donations used to be at 80% before the tax code changes a few years ago. So donors will help pay for recruits and players and Jen Cohen gets an empty stadium and no cash.TheHB said:whatshouldicareabout said:TheHB said:How long until Montlake Futures is deemed a non-charitable organization and any donations made non-tax-deductible? Ramming may legitimately be your own black sox cursed type character. I need a summary timeline of all the bad things that happened while she was employed and how quickly things turned positive in the 5 months since she “quit”
-
That's the whole fucking point. Extracting money from the non-die hards is what a good fundraising AD does.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:Oh good, the annoying semi football literate football chicks in the office might chip in $75. We're on our way now.
