Sure, but it’s still 2.5 million people. That isn’t a tiny metro. It’s ranked 26th in the country. It’s definitely not Seattle, but the argument isn’t primarily Seattle. My point was comparing Portland’s 2.5 million metro to any metro reasonably close to Lincoln Nebraska. Kansas City is about 2.5 hours away, and it’s slightly smaller than Portland metro. In Lincoln, you have to travel to Minneapolis (339 miles) to find the closest larger metro area. Again, their location is awful.
