At uw we would call that abuse for slapping candy out the hand of a student athlete and fire our Under performing coach.

Curious if any chance Mark Nobu (sp?) has any cold feet in College Station. Local recruit last year. Seemed an unusual fit to go there. Anyways, I’m sure USC will know before UW

So true. There should be a contract where the players receive a healthy stipend until they are RS sophomores or juniors at which point the big money rolls in with a certain amount of snaps earned on the field. You still run the risk of paying out big money for a player like Smalls but at least he's been incentivized to put forth effort for a few years leading up to his playing tim.
