Keep celebrating 1992 Independence Bowls and 1994 interceptions

Good thread 99% of the people agree with me, now.
We had this information for you very early on. -

And right
That blowout was fatal
No question -

I come to DR for completely different reasons than those guys do. You keep lumping me with them but you have no basis for it.dtd said:It mattered and now it doesn't. Quooks gonna quooks. Bill Haie Chuck gonna Doog.
Also:
If Oregon were to win out, the Georgia score wouldn't matter. They'd most likely be in the playoffs or at least in the conversation.
Oregon won't win out, so that makes you correct, but thats still not what was being debated. -
UGA back to No. 1.
Missouri didn't matter. -
Losing the first game of the year is always the smart thing to do

Beating up on three non-con punching bags doesn't matter when you're 1-2 in Conference.DucksFC said:Losing the first game of the year is always the smart thing to do

On the flip side, Texas looked strong behind the best performance yet by quarterback Quinn Ewers (12). The one-time top recruit in the nation came back from a shoulder injury to complete 21 of 31 passes for 289 yards and four touchdowns, and that gives rise to a provocative question: If Texas wins out, going 11–2 and winning the Big 12, should the Longhorns get College Football Playoff consideration?
In the nine-year history of the CFP, we’ve never had a two-loss team. Things can change, but there is a good chance we’ll have at least four Power 5 teams with zero or one loss come Selection Sunday. But if Texas goes undefeated in games when Ewers is healthy, could it get an injury mulligan?
Honk em
This is what you are up against with that massive embarrassing loss
Not that Texas will win out. Probably go 7-5 -
Who wants to go to the playoff? Let Texas lose to uga by 3 tds.RaceBannon said:On the flip side, Texas looked strong behind the best performance yet by quarterback Quinn Ewers (12). The other part is that it's a tough sell for viewers -
It's an academis matter because, as you point out, Texas will lose another, but also because Oregon will as well. I don't see Oregon playing Ute, Washington! and UCLA w/o dropping one of those.RaceBannon said:On the flip side, Texas looked strong behind the best performance yet by quarterback Quinn Ewers (12). I think this game against UCLA will tell us everything we need to know about Oregon.creepycoug said:

Oregon hasn’t lost a home game in 4 years. I’m actually more worried about the trip to Cal for a letdown game or OSU’s SuperBowl tbh.creepycoug said:

If we soundly beat UCLA at home I'm not worried about Cal on the road.

It’s amazing how shit the CFP semifinals have been. This plan to add 8 worse teams to the mix is peak modern college football.ntxduck said:

While mostly tongue in cheek, the fact that there’s some truth that fans would rather miss the playoffs and win a nostalgic regional bowl game so they can feel alive again is a pretty dire situation. -
Missing the playoff in the 2019-2020 season was a blessing.MikeSeaver said:

They will have a chance at the No. 4 spot if they go 11-2. Ewers is special, they win that Bama game if he's not injured. He was carving up their mediocre secondary.RaceBannon said:On the flip side, Texas looked strong behind the best performance yet by quarterback Quinn Ewers (12). Always
Ewers is good though. No doubt -
SC is going to lose this weekend to Utah and then to UCLA. They can't stop the run and both will give them a heavy dose.RaceBannon said:

Texas will go before them and I'd love to see Sark edge them out.
Michigan loses to Penn St. this weekend and then to tOSU so they're out.
Clemson is a fraud so one loss knocks them out.
Unless Tenn. pulls off the upset of Bama this weekend to upset the apple cart the top 3 are set.
UGA
Bama
tOSU
Texas?
