Huge percentage of tech went to UW. If you say so, and even if true, how interested are they in CFB?haie said:

How much can UW capture Seattle market? If the Seahawks suck, mariners are the mariners, if the huskies have a certain level of success, can we? get some of that tech money working for the dwags? Or is it too far gone at this point.
Huge percentage of tech went to UW.
There are people in their early 40's spending money on the program because of one great season and one northwest championship in the Rick years.
It's not hard to get fans and Jen won't be here much longer.
We missed out on a generation of fans who grew up not caring or wanting to go to games including beginning of Pete's run, during Pete's run and after Pete's run.
UW can not give tickets away for free or close and fill the stadium unless it's rivals or OOC teams who bring 1000's of the own fans to fill up the place.
There is nothing stopping tech money or any other entity from playing the NIL game, and why UW AD and above might poo poo it, obviously KD and his staff wouldn't.
Serious question, since it's not hard to get fans how would you go about doing it?

They lost a generation of fans when in 2007 they're walking through Red Square and see 3 giant posters of the football coach, men's bball coach, and women's bball coach and it's obvious they aren't hiring based on trying to win as much as possible; people aren't stupid. Then their senior year UW hires an SC coordinator that clearly just got to coast with better players. Most uninspired hire, even the women's studies crowd knew that.godawgst said:

Pete years got a bunch of fans. Some of them don't have the disposable income yet, maybe. Like I said there's age groups that have the money and spend a lot of cash because Rick won a northwest championship and trolled the fuck out of Oregon and Wazzu dumbshits.
From experience the tech people are doogs that are more into local nw rivalry games, especially Apple Cup for the ass grabbing. Definitely not into Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Portland State, Idaho, fucking Rutgers and Montana. Not into zero effort shit food and beverage. -
I pretty much agree with this. Good post.haie said:

Then we lost more fans b/c Sark was a uninspired hire but tripled the number of wins the guy he followed TW did.
Finally under Pete the fans didn't have disposable income to go to games, yet pricing on 2ndary markets for vast majority of those said games would be more or less in line with todays prices. I will say it again, lack of attendance has Nothing to do with the ticket prices.
And if the tech people only care about WSU/UO/Beavs games that's not changing and they don't give a shit about the fb program overall. They look at those games as a entertainment experience just like a concert or Hamilton play.

Dude understands modern technology and the UW alumni base as well as the Duck Olds do trying to reset their passwords so that they can tell me how mad I am at Oregon football. -

For starters, it was not from hiring AA coaches, it was from hiring for politically correct reasons instead of hiring the best possible coach, whom can be of any color.
