Why the hell are Pac 12 teams playing @ "UTSA" (they have football?), Nevaduh, and UMass this weekend?

Because they travel unlike the SEC teams.

That's not true. SEC teams travel. To neutral sites like Texas.

You know your team is shit when you have to schedule a home/home with UTSA.

Access to Texas' fertile recruiting grounds and an easy win surprisingly competitive game.

And I just looked at Arizona's commit list... they have quite a few kids coming in from Louisiana. RichRod knows where the athletes are.

Schedule a home/home with Texas Tech, Texas, Baylor, LSU, Arkansas, Texas A&M. You're not impressing anybody, especially recruits, by playing a road game at UTSA.

RichRod isn't a fucking genius. Everyone knows the athletes are in SoCal, Texas, SEC country, and South Florida. A lot of other coaches also know that if you schedule a road game down there, at least schedule it to a team the has a name to it, because if you lose, it doesn't look so bad. If Arizona loses to UTSA tonight, recruiting just got a lot more difficult down there.

    No shit, Sherlock.

You think if they could've scheduled one of those teams, they would? Here are the shit-tier OOCs those teams play (except Texas who has arguably the best OOC in the country):

    Arkansas

    09/06 - Nicholls State
    09/13 - at Texas Tech
    09/20 - Northern Illinois
    10/25 - UAB

    09/05 - UTEP
    09/12 - Toledo
    09/19 - Texas Tech
    10/31 - UT Martin

    Baylor

    08/31 - SMU
    09/06 - Northwestern State
    09/12 - at Buffalo

    09/05 - at SMU
    09/12 - Lamar
    09/26 - Rice

    09/03 - Northwestern State
    09/17 - SMU
    09/24 - at Rice

    LSU

08/30 - Wisconsin (at Houston, TX)
    09/06 - Sam Houston State
    09/13 - ULM
    09/27 - New Mexico State

    09/05 - McNeese State
    09/26 - at Syracuse
    10/03 - Eastern Michigan
    11/14 - Western Kentucky

09/03 - Wisconsin (at Green Bay, WI)
    09/10 - Southern Miss
    09/17 - Jacksonville State
    10/15 - South Alabama

    TCU

    08/30 - Samford
    09/13 - Minnesota
    09/27 - at SMU

    09/03 - at Minnesota
    09/12 - Stephen F. Austin
    09/19 - SMU

    09/03 - South Dakota State
    09/24 - at SMU
    TBA - Arkansas

    Texas

    08/30 - North Texas
    09/06 - BYU
09/13 - UCLA (at Arlington, TX)

    09/05 - at Notre Dame
    09/12 - Rice
    09/19 - California

    09/03 - Notre Dame
    09/10 - UTEP
    09/17 - at California

    Texas Tech

    08/30 - Central Arkansas
    09/06 - at UTEP
    09/13 - Arkansas

    09/05 - Sam Houston State
    09/12 - UTEP
    09/19 - at Arkansas

    Texas A&M

    09/06 - Lamar
    09/13 - Rice
    09/20 - at SMU
    11/01 - ULM

09/05 - Arizona State (at Houston, TX)
    09/12 - Ball State
    09/19 - Nevada
    11/14 - Western Carolina

    09/03 - UCLA
    09/10 - Louisiana Tech
    11/12 - UTSA

So either you play shit-tier teams in Texas and expose your team and coaches to the athletes down there or you're just some fucking 8-5 team named "Arizona" to kids in Dallas and Houston.
