Extra Note: Just had to get this off my chest as it has come to my attention that some out there are saying Chris Petersen is doing things his way and alluding to that being a bad thing. If Chris Petersen came over to UW and did ANYTHING different than what he did at Boise I would call him stupid (he isn’t), he has gone 93-12 doing things his way. Calm down, doogs.

Good chit, cokehead

Nice job. That's a solid stat (explosive plays).
-
Good perspective. I had no idea how awful it is on Oahu. No wonder such a shitty scrimmage unfolded at the swap meet tenement they call Aloha Stadium.
-
So bend but don't break.

I don't like the "bend but don't break" approach, but it may be best given the changes to the game both from pace of play and officiating standpoints.priapism said:So bend but don't break.

I was actually very surprised by Oahu in a number of ways ...Homebrew_Dawg said:Good perspective. I had no idea how awful it is on Oahu. No wonder such a shitty scrimmage unfolded at the swap meet tenement they call Aloha Stadium.
As Coke mentioned, Waikiki is super, super busy. It really reminded me of a poor person's Bourbon Street in that the foot traffic is tremendous, there is an overflow out of just about every single bar/restaurant and mixed in with Downtown Chicago in that there's shopping all over the place. And one thing I've never heard anybody ever talk about is how bad the traffic is on Oahu ... in some ways it's borderline worse than Seattle.
In contrast, on Maui life pretty much stops as soon as you get close to 7 or 8 pm. -
I read it.

Normally don't comment on these.. but this was good chit.
One more thing, Oahu is terrible. -
Sorry for the abuse in this thread @EwaDawg...
On another note, when leaving Hula Grill on Saturday afternoon, we ran into Kent Griswold roaming the streets, sadly he did not have his giant football. Also, when in the stadium we ran into non other than Phil Bleenor, he seemed to not be enjoying the heat so much.
As for the bend but don't break stuff, I think there is some merit to that for the game we saw Saturday. But I certainly don't think anyone would consider the Seahawks to be bend but don't break. More than anything I just think the explosive play stat is a very good gauge of how your defense and offense is doing throughout the course of the game, especially with the emphasis of offenses to run as many plays as possible. If you can limit chunks of yardage on defense and gain chunks of yardage on offense you are going to do very well. -
Mexican Coke in a glass bottle? Those are great. Anyways, good article and good stats/research.
-
LOL at the Aloha Stadium description, dead on. Also, I was dragged to that swap-meet against my will on several occasions

Was MexicanCokeGreaterThanCokeGreaterThanPepsi taken @CokeGreaterThanPepsi or what?
Oh, GRAA or whatever you want -
Anytime we talk about explosive diarrhea, it's a good day for the bored.

I thought he was referring to cocaine...
Anyway the article summed up my thoughts as well.

Oahu has plenty of hookers (most with penises but if you were taking the express to browntown anyway who cares, am I right? (hi Kim!) The vitamin C is widely available and of fair to midland quality too.
also, quality post Coker -
The season is over! Eastern is going to explosive play the Dawgs out of Husky Stadium
-
Honolulu is a shitty city that just happens to be next to a beach.
