Florida is a middle of the pack SEC team. If Ute is the best PAC can offer … yikes.

Florida is #12 in recruiting talent (can be meaningless but worth considering) and hired the Southeast version of Kalen DeBoer.

    They could be really good.

Or, both Utah and Florida are fringe top 25 teams.

I believe that to be the case. Tip of the cap to Utah either way. The swamp is a god awful place for opponents. The Gators have won 33 straight home openers, the longest active streak in the nation dating back to 1989. There is nothing like it in the PAC, but Utah outplayed Florida and were in position to win at the end of the game.

Of course there are athletes on the roster. But their D line wasn’t dominant. Elite SEC teams tend to have that.

Florida loses at least three. Likely 4. Cook it.

Never have bought into them repeating as P12 champs and playoff contenders.

Slow, quarterback isn't accurate enough, and this year they're trying to use two tight ends as their primary passing targets.

How many of those 33 home openers were against fcs or sun belt teams? 31?
Yeah the SEC generally doesn’t do those fcs games until the 11th game before a rivalry game but it’s usually a sun belt, Mac or Conference USA

Oregon is 7th in the country in terms of recruiting talent, so that's a pretty meaningless statistic
Florida has a coach that knows how to coach

But, Florida's "home openers" often / almost always consist of schools you parents have literally never heard of. Most of the SEC is the same

The problem is we? don't know how shitty the rest of the conference will be. For example, UCLA (mid major) will likely be mediocre, at best.

The best team in the pac 12 has a recent history of being equal to a slightly above avg sec team.

2018 uw shit the bed vs mediocre auburn
2019 Oregon shit the bed vs mediocre auburn
2022 Utah shit the bed vs Florida.

Actually was at the game. Florida has some dudes in the trenches. Their pass rush and wr’s were underwhelming. If they beat Kentucky this week they probably win 9 games which puts them in the top 15-20. If they lose, they probably are a fringe top 25 team.

Not rushing the field against fucking Utah because it’s fucking Utah. Can’t wait to watch a bunch of losers do it to Sparty

Why would they rush the field after a loss? Maybe like the sark LSU game when doogs came in their pants because uw “played them close”

How many years away are we from fans rushing the field after a near upset. Growing up I always reserved rushing the field for massive Upsets and wins and I think it jumped the shark once the threat of getting maced went away.

How many times has UW rushed the field?

I recall USC in 2009 and at USC in 2010 (there was a barrier but the players came over and celebrated with the fans). Stanford in 2016 maybe? Can't remember

The year Skippy won the northwest championship there were a lot of UW fans on the field after the wins over 0regon and Cuog. Still remember having piss filled water bottles thrown at us by Cuog fans which is why many stadiums remove the caps now a days. Not knowing they contained piss I was just signaling for a fair catch for any bottles thrown near me.

    Good times, indeed.

They rushed Lumen Stadium or whatever it is against OS in 2012 I think. Maybe Stanford. Pathetic

Why all the bad-mouthing of Florida winning 33 home openers? Even if they played Div 2 teams that is still good - especially when compared to UW.
EWA (close), Hawaii (years ago), Nevada, MONTANA, add to the list then bitch about the Gators.

Utah outplayed Florida and were in position to win at the end of the game I think Utah took the position to lose, on that interception I saw two, if not more Utes, bent over in the position.

Every SEC team, except maybe Tennessee, does the same thing every year. They play a bunch of cupcakes, or p. 5 teams in Atlanta, Orlando, NO, or some friendly "neutral" site. Don't forget their mid November trick of playing West Kentucky Tech as a warm up to the rivalry game. It's smoke and mirrors and paying sCam Newton $200,000 under the table.
