Kim does it again

Kim's "Pete is blowing the team up to rebuild it the way he wants it" comment has caused another firestorm panic attack by idiots who believe what he says. The pitchforks are out again with cries of "I don't want 3 more rebuilding years" and "why can't he just work with the players we already have".

Put out the Dickus signal

I don't even care if he DOES blow it up ad start over, as clearly Sark's philosophy of roster building and personnel decisions didn't work. I'm fine with 3 years of 8-9 wins before blowing up as the foundation Petersen builds will be sturdier than anything Sark would have built as the bottom fell out from under him every single year

Mello, your post makes sense. Petersen is undoing much of what Sarkisian did. Nothing else he can do. His system is different. Gotta be tough on players having a new coach no matter the team. Sure will be interesting to see what Coach P does with what he has the next three years.

The doogs who think there's a seamless transition presume that the talent level is the same, we didn't lose anything, and that Sark left a dynamic and depth-filled roster when he left. The roster is fine, but going 8-5 is fine in Year 1. Not ideal, but fine as long as penalties are down and discipline is up,

So are the same folks going to blame Sark for the dreckfest OL we'll probably roll out next year because Sark didn't believe in recruiting OL? Don't remember Peterman running off any legit OL...or is Stringfellow now a future 1st round OT as well

No, Petersen hasn't run off any OL but Kohler retired and Hindy left the program.

Our OL next year should be somewhat decent. We should return Tanigawa for a 6th year since he missed 2012 due to an ACL tear (Hi Ivan!). That'd give us 2 of our starting OL back (Charles and Tanigawa), while plugging in Eldrenkamp, Coleman Shelton, and Tufunga at LT, RT and RG. It'd be a senior laden OL with Charles, Tanigawa, and Tufunga being SRs, but we'd return Eldrenkamp and Shelton for 2016.

In regards to rebuilding or transitioning, it will be complete at the end of next season. Year 3 is usually the telling year or the first three years are. Next year w/o OL experience and losing Shelton, Peters & Kikaha will make it somewhat of a rebuilding year. Year 3 you will still have Cyler, both backs, Ross, Daniels at TE plus the current fresh/sophs on D who we've already talked about quite a bit. The challenge will be rebuilding the OL.

I wouldn't count on that. It seems like guys who get a 6th year are those that typically miss more than 1 year due to injury.

Yup, and look at that line (and depth) if/when there is no Tanigawa next year.

If only Peterman hadn't run off Hindy...
