No shit, that's why I said, "When they (TAM) joined the 12, Ok and Ok St weren't good" (paraphrasing myself). Oklahoma had a horrible year in which they went three and eight or something. '97 or so.Tequilla said:

The state of Texas easily has enough talent for both of them. I'm not sold on A&M becoming a great program, but it won't be because of Texas. If Sumlin is what the media thinks he is, Texas A&M will be here to stay regardless of what happens at Texas. I need to see some defense before I believe that.topdawgnc said:

Texas A&M can get pretty much whatever Texas kids they want, whenever they want them, so I'm not sure I buy this argument. Yes, they get a lot of early commits, but if those kids start looking like they aren't worth it, you can bet your ass they replace them.sarktastic said:

scholarships... or... at least start pulling them in the 11th hour and let those 8GSS fall to shitty programs in need of 'star power' to sell tickets.
Some of my co-workers just sent their kids to that fucked up place ... talk about a fucking cult.
Jesus.
They were never an elite program for any long period of time. They had a pretty good run in the late 80s and 90s under Slocum, but the old Southwest Conference was pretty bad at that time (Texas kind of sucked, SMU was awful after being shut down, TCU was not like they are now, and when they joined the 12, Okie sucked and Okie State really sucked). They're kind of a tier 2 power like us.
When it comes to the pulse of Texas football, I've got that shit dialed in -

Oklahoma was there from 1915-1919
OSU was there from 1915-1925

Anyone who has ever been to Ass to Mouth University (AandM) can tell you what a fucking whacko cult that place is. Also probably the ugliest coeds of any college campus in the South.

If we're going to bash a school whose co-eds where shirts that say ATM on a regular basis ... then I'm out

Thanks for finally coming to your sense regarding the greatness of the SEC.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:
They won't become a great program with LSU, Auburn, and Bammer in the same division. Maybe if the NCAA developed a backbone and punished cheating schools like that, they could dominate, but that's not happening anytime soon. Arkie can be good at times too. Sumlin and J. Faggot got them off the mat from a very average program to a 9-3 type team.RoadDawg55 said:

They got butthurt and jealous when Texas got really greedy about 5 years ago and didn't want to play second fiddle. It's understandable, but they belong in the XII, just like Nebraska.
