My dad has spoken

When I asked him about USC and UCLA going to the Big 10, he said it was a betrayal and even dropped an F bomb. It was the the first time I've heard him drop an F bomb since after the 1998 Oahu Bowl.
Then he said, "I hope USC and UCLA both go 0-12 every year!"
When I pointed out that those schools would play each other every year and thus someone would win one game, he said:
"Well then I hope they both go 0-11-1 every year!"

But dad we have overtime now

At the risk of living in the past, how did your dad feel when the Pac-10 betrayed the Huskies in 1993?
Should have been obvious back then that the conference hated winning & making money. -
I have only seen my dad sobbing three times in my entire life. When my grandpa died, when my grandma died, and when Don James resigned and UW was put on probation.PurpleBaze said:At the risk of living in the past, how did your dad feel when the Pac-10 betrayed the Huskies in 1993?

Staci Keanan ended up being doable.

79 USC wins the natty. 81 and 82 USC is on probationPurpleBaze said:At the risk of living in the past, how did your dad feel when the Pac-10 betrayed the Huskies in 1993?

91 huskies yada yada yada
02 to 05 USC. Then probation
And despite no public hammer something knocked Oregon down after 2011. Double secret probation IMO
-
Your point is still valid, but USC finished #2 in 1979. Alabama was 12-0.RaceBannon said:

Alabama won the natty in '78 alsoRaceBannon said:78

Didn’t realize UW had its own stab in the back myth

USC won the natty as well
So USC was the champ

Washington lost to both national champions
Arizona did the same in 1991
The more you know -
They're crushed UW/UO souls for over a decade but since 2017 they've been eligible for relegation to the ivy league. 2018 they were okay I guess but got so lucky against Oregon that the UW game in HS (the one where Pete got way ahead and then did his pussy 2nd half gameplan and almost lost) shouldn't have mattered.picalogestabo said: -

I should have remembered this game because I was in Longview (7 years old) watching the game with my dad and his frat buddies, and I was the only one cheering for Alabama. For some reason I thought Bama won it all -
Note UW's loss to the Fighting Lee Corsos, who went 4-7 that year. Huskies finished 7-4.

Charles White didn't actually score in the Rose Bowl so Michigan should have won
Imagine winning the head to head and being second
I grew up on McKay and Robinson and Owens and James
Wheel house -
Notre dame beat Florida state and was ranked below. They lost to boston college shortly after, but still.RaceBannon said:

I remember ND jumping ahead of FSU and then losing against BC the following week when an ND LB dropped a game ending interception. BC went on to score at the end of the game. Should have been Holtz’s second natty. As a casual Irish fan, I was devastated.AtomicDawg said:
