Should You Carry A .380 For Self Defense?

Most of the time the mere presence of a gun is enough to stop most attackers/criminals. It's better than nothing. I knew an officer murdered by one. They make 9MM's that small. I'll take the 9 any day over the .380. A .380 as a second gun is OK but I don't use it as a primary. But I'm not small and I don't wear skinny jeans and skin tight T's. I carry a 5" 1911 .45 and a spare mag under a T shirt. It's not hard with the right gear. I have a 9MM I occasionally carry. But it is a bit special.
Going to the mail box I guess it works for him. As I said it's better than nothing. -
No Musket? I hear we're only allowed to carry Muskets.

.380 depends upon the round. It will get the job done.

I feel personally targeted.

It's like buying a Honda 600 instead of an actual car. It'll get you there. Maybe. I trust my life to better choices. .380 lacks penetration with hollow points that actually expand. Most do not. Light weight for diameter limits penetration. For a small increase in the pistols size you can have a 9MM which is a substantial improvement. But to each his own!

Also, how far back is he talking in the video not having concealed options? I have a .380 that's from WW1...

The .380 ACP has been around since 1908 and was designed by firearms genius John Browning to go with his new Colt 1908 pocket pistol it was more powerful than the .32ACP cartridge. ACP stands for Automatic Colt Pistol. Also used widely in Europe as FN and many other European countries built guns for it.

I think mine's a Spanish made Ruby which is a copy of the 1905? Browning. It's in surprisingly good condition and the design still holds up. Haven't shot it yet bc who knows what might happen. Both for safety and bc I don't want to destroy an antique with real history to it. Will post pics in the wam if @Sledog gets a hallpass.Sledog said:The .380 ACP has been around since 1908 and was designed by firearms genius John Browning to go with his new Colt 1908 pocket pistol it was more powerful than the .32ACP cartridge.
