I can't get myself to watch it.
Parts 2-3 were letdown enough. 4th time might be bad enough to sour me on part one, which would just be a shame. -

I watched it on a flight when I had few options. I had high hopes that Reeves wouldn’t do a shitty sequel but those hopes were dashed and this movie adds evidence to my theory that the longer the time between original and sequel equals a much greater possibility the sequel will suck.
That said, it sounds like Top Gun Maverick is blowing holes in my theory. -

I thought the first one was incredible and left off at a point without any need of a sequel but then someone decided the world needed more and both sucked.
