The Dead ZoneMeh
The books are so much better and I'm not a book snob. The movies tend to suck
The Stand as a TV mini series was better than these but I'll go with Christopher Walken -
Shawshank RedemptionI'll argue that this is one of the best movies of all time.

The Shining
I think Shawshank is probably a better overall film than The Shining, but Jack's performance in the film is so ridiculously good (his best work IMHO) that I have to give it my vote.greenblood said:I'll argue that this is one of the best movies of all time.
White man's burden @Swaye my man.

Shawshank RedemptionSingle view you can't beat The Shining, but for the long haul Shawshank is just the best. I've probably watched it 20 tims and it's still great every tim.

Shawshank RedemptionZihuatanejo. It’s a little place in Mexico on the Pacific Ocean. Do you know what the Mexicans say about the Pacific? They say it has no memory. That’s where I want to live the rest of my life — a warm place with no memory.

Shawshank Redemption
Shawshank is damn near perfect film. Top 5 of all time, arguably top 2.Swaye said:Single view you can't beat The Shining, but for the long haul Shawshank is just the best. I've probably watched it 20 tims and it's still great every tim.
The Shining *feels* more quintessential King but Shawshank is the superior film (and story). -
Shawshank RedemptionShawshank comes on, I sit down and watch. Every time.

The Dead ZoneQuite honestly I didn't see Shawshank. Had no idea that was Stephen King
-
The ShiningI also live fairly close to the Overlook Hotel these days so gotta represent here.
