I voted for Ferris. Which was not a Brat Pack film. (Fine)TurdBomber said:
If you're impressed by anything "The Brat Pack" did, I can't help you.YellowSnow said:
Horrible take. Just horrible. Caddy shack is not a “teen” movie. 4 of the 5 main characters are not teens.TurdBomber said:Fuck Off for excluding Caddyshack. Danny Noonan was a teen.
And Lacy Underall's tits were way nicer than Rebecca DeBonerey's.
And she had normal teeth. (Sorry Chief).
I suppose you think CaddyShack is a Golf movie vs. a poor teenage kid's coming of age flick.
Talk about horrible takes.
I can do Caddy Shack impersonations by heart better than anyone here. (Them's fighting words)
Rodney, Chevy, Bill Murray, and Ted Knigh are not teen movies actors. They just aren’t. (Watch the CS Documentary) -
F.O. Row Peter Puffer Cake Eater, you left off...Okay, so Caddyshack wasn't in the 80s teen ensemble genre, so to speak, but the movie was originally written to be about the life of teen caddies from the other side of the tracks, clashing with the snotty and snooty rich kids and club members in their daily working class lives. Maggie & Danny, Denunzio and his little maggot brother, and the other smart-ass caddies flipping Danny shit as he tried to find a path up and out. That's what I'm talking about. They had to write in a bunch of stuff for Murray, Chase and Dangerfield and a lot of caddy-life scenes wound up on the cutting room floor.
But there was plenty of this:
Tye: Do you take drugs, Danny?
Danny: Yes, all the time.
Tye: Then what's the problem?
Tye: Don't worry about it. If you miss it, we lose.
Spalding: Of course it's good shit. I got it from a Negro.
If that ain't 80s teen angst, what is? -
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
I don't disagree there's a good teen subplot to the film about which you describe. But it's the Murray, Chevy and Rodney scenes that make the film the classic that it is.TurdBomber said:Okay, so Caddyshack wasn't in the 80s teen ensemble genre, so to speak, but the movie was originally written to be about the life of teen caddies from the other side of the tracks, clashing with the snotty and snooty rich kids and club members in their daily working class lives. More of a "college" movie I guess, but I highly recommend watching The Beach Girls (1982). It's straight-up stupid, dirty, low-budget, trash comedy. The acting is terrible, probably because they mostly hired models instead of real actors. But that's part of the charm. Catchy soundtrack, too.
The movie is about a college girl and her friend who are housesitting at her uncle's beach house. She wants to be responsible and keep things low key, but her friend pressures her to pick up some guys and bring them back. From there, a massive party breaks out. Lots of silly gags and random wtf shit. That's pretty much the entire plot.
At this point you're probably thinking "this sounds like one of the greatest movies of all time!", and are dying to start watching it. Luckily, YouTube has the whole movie for free! They only put the very best movies up free of charge, you know.
P.S....Debra Blee is fucking SMOKING HOT in this movie.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bHqSqRqNeE

F.O. Row Peter Puffer Cake Eater, you left off...Fuckin' Beach Girls. Hilariously bad, but watchable, nonetheless.
Brings me back to the era where fat, ugly bitches bore enough shame to stay away from the beach.
Not like the shameless rotundness you see at PNW beaches these days. -

Honorable Mention, maybe, for Valley Girl, but only because of this awesome song on the Sountrack. -

F.O. Row Peter Puffer Cake Eater, you left off...I’m surprised that I’m surprised 16 Candles didn’t even make the fucking list.
In no order, my top 5 are Ferris, Fast Tims, 16 Candles, Porky’s and Risky Bidness
