I had originally written a long explanation (shocking, I know) of how aid includes military transfers and the accounting associated with that, the disastrous SOAE miscalculation of the Nunn-Lugar Act, an explanation of how much money the US gave Russia post 1991 to fund our enemies, and the like. But, unless there’s an unlikely event of someone wanting me to expound on it, this should suffice:

By ROI this has got to be the most efficient military spending in US history since the Spanish-American war.

Not particularly related, but I think Glenn Greenwald and the Brazilian boy orphan he adopted and married should visit Grozny and do some investigative reporting from there. Maybe they can even find out why Snowden has been MIA for almost two months now.

Did you take a look at Paws' post about Gonzalo Lira? I take it you think he was a a Russian asset who Zelensky needed gone? Hadn't heard about Snowden being MIS bit how does that support your position that we should be funding NATO and Ukraine?
I saw @paws post and I know who he’s talking about. He’s a former American sex tourist that used to put out videos under the name “Coach Red Pill” and since the invasion decided to change from that to pretend journalist. He has been spouting off lies left and right, while calling this “one of the most brilliant invasions in military history” even while the city he lived in is being destroyed by Russian artillery.

I’d guess he’s alive. Maybe in Ukraine, maybe in Russia. I doubt the SBU would kill him, but possible. I wouldn’t rule it out. Journalists, real ones, have been killed, but mostly by Russian soldiers. It’s also possible that some Ukrainian checkpoint looked through his phone and saw all the pro-Russia content and just executed him on the spot. It’s the same thing the Russians do, and that’s why wars are bad.

The Snowden thing is just an observation for those who believe he’s anything other than a Russian agent, hence why I said “not particularly related” and only mentioned it because Greenwald was used and his hypocrisy has always been fascinating to me.

    Uhhhhh .... OK!

I have no idea how you gleaned this about Gonzalo. It sounds like a smear by someone who hasn't spent more that 3 minutes with his content. I've consumed probably a 100 of hours, and that characterization as merely a sex tourist doesn't hold water.

Would love to hear why you think Greenwald is a hypocrite.

I've thoroughly enjoyed your perspective on UKR, but you seemed to have taken the long way through the woods wearing a blindfold on these two topics.

If you're bashing sex tourists, I'm the fuck out.

Not me. Sexy tim on vaca is the best.

    Take it up with @RatherBeBrewing.

America has had robust opposition to our wars even WW1 when some fascist president tried to outlaw it.

    We're paying for this?

You do understand the kind of war they’re in? A full on invasion to destroy their existence, by which I don’t just mean the government in the capital, but full on destroy the existence of any civil resistance to Russian control? I think martial law is an appropriate response, don’t you?

As for “banning opposition parties” they banned ones that are considered pro-Russian. An extreme reaction, but wouldn’t most countries do the same during an existential threat? During the US Civil War, which wasn’t even a foreign invasion, did habeas corpus get suspended? Did elected representatives from rebellious states get expelled from Congress? Should politicians who are under arrest for treason, or those who have defected to the invading country, be allowed free reign?
America and the USSR fought a decades long cold war with active Communist participation in the democratic party

America had nazi symps in WW2. Lindy among others

Ukraine can do what they want but Zelifsky can stfu about telling other countries what to do

The friend of my enemy is my enemy

If Putin said he was taking Russia back to Communism those Twitter Ukrainian flags would become the hammer and sickle overnight

    Not my fight

Obama administration installed Zelensky during Barry's reign. He's a sock puppet of the DIM establishment. A nice little war that causes untold death and destruction. Putin is a fool, he did exactly what has been expected for years. His military has been exposed as a paper Tiger.

The only thing Putin can do now is negotiate some sort of peace deal and retreat inward and focus on Russia. The people are suffering and won't tolerate much more. Families are poasting pics of their sons feared dead during the sinking of the Moskva. Russian military officials will not tell them if they're dead or not.

Meanwhile, defense contractors are happy with their DIM partners. $Millions more out the door today. All beaks got wet. It's fucking sick.

Who gets to determine whether someone is pro-Russian? Let the rest of NATO fund them.
First off, it should be noted that nine of the eleven banned parties are not electorally represented in their parliament. Just fringe types. The other two have merged into one block that has something like ~40/450 seats.

How could they judge if they are pro-Russian? That’s like asking how does one determine if the Green Party is pro-environment. It’s literally part of their platform, the main part. It’s where their funding originates. While in other countries the split is liberal/conservative there it’s “West or Russia.” One of the parliamentarians has fled to Russia and is advocating to nuke Ukraine, if there was any doubt.

Their leader, kleptocrat oligarch Viktor Medvedchuk, has been a close friend of Putin for decades. Putin is the Godfather of his daughter, a serious responsibility in Orthodox culture. They vacation together, go to sporting events together, and after he was recently captured while wearing a Ukrainian army uniform to flee former Russian PM and “president” Dmitry Medvedev said he’d be avenged - those responsible should lock their doors at night.

Medvedchuk was one of the candidates to be Putin’s Quisling. During Soviet times Ol’ Viktor was the guy who’d make sure that dissidents get sent to the GULAG. Sometimes he was the prosecutor and sometimes the defense, although his defense of “my client has admitted to these awful crimes against the state and deserves punishment, but since he admitted he’s an enemy of the state maybe seven years instead of eight?” wasn’t the most effective. How did he get elected? He’s worth a lot of money, possibly billions, owned two TV channels, and it doesn’t take much to get the most votes when there are 450 districts, in some of which he controls employment or were pro-Russian like him.

I agree with you, other NATO members should be providing more if that is the alliance’s decision. It’s shameful that Estonia is the second biggest donor. Their population is 1.3 million people, and they have sent 1% of their GDP worth in arms and money. As an FYI something like $500 million isn’t the actual sum, it’s the original cost of supplies, and a lot of that isn’t going to Ukraine physically but to NATO countries to backfill their old Soviet equipment they are transferring to Ukraine. These numbers are very deceiving. But as my drawn out response shows the media isn’t going to fully explain the nuances or details - partially because they are entertainment and also because Jerry from the celebrity Instagram beat isn’t well versed in the issue.

Oh fuck off with your RAT talking points. You just lost any shred of credibility with that sex bullshit. You remind me of LAcoug.
Okay. Old American guy who goes to Ukraine to meet women half his age and puts out a bunch of videos about it under his Coach Red Pill persona isn’t a sex tourist. He’s more of a sex vlogger? I don’t know, how would you describe him? No need to hurry, I have dinner reservations I gotta get to, but I’m genuinely curious to know how you would categorize that type of person.

Here’s one of his many videos, but since my credibility is dubious feel free to your own if it will help you give a more accurate characterization of Coach.

Nothing about that video addresses any of your allegations.

His CRP persona is about teaching men not to put up with women's bullshit.

The same attitude he had when talking about UKR politics, especially with regards to Zelensky.

If your position is that the public should remain plugged into societal/media narratives regardless of fact or new information, fine you do you.

But if you want to slander a person without the receipts, because you don't like him, that's not going to fly.

Again, appreciate your perspective on UKR to date.

But given GL currently lives in UKR, and is married with children to a Ukrainian, a) his views of the conflict are first-hand, and b) those facts don't square with your allegations of a sex tourist.

I have no interest in watching any weird videos you think discredit the man's opinions based on his understanding of historical and geopolitical events. The videos he released are interesting listens and information you're not going to get from the mainstream media. I was only reacting to your cheap "he was a sex coach" talking point and do appreciate your informed opinions on worldly affairs. I just personally believe debate is best served sticking to the facts and not ad hominem attacks although I too am guilty of throwing them out from time to time. But this is war and something to be taken seriously.

Yeah the more I hear about Ukraine the more it sounds like a shithole not much better than Russia. I preferred being uninformed and just loving their hot chicks. Thanks for fucking that up Putin, you bastard.

I’m sure he’s already making a video about being chained in a basement by Jewish Neo-Nazi cokeheads, and he might even throw in a few tips on how to pick-up chicks under 25 as a bonus.

I appreciate the civil discourse, so thank you.

I was writing a reply on Lira in another completely unrelated to him thread, but I think that I might need to scrap it. It’s become mostly Randy Macho Man Savage GIFs and me talking shit about him as I challenge that Chilean Grandpa to put his teaching to work in a wealthy nation and see if I can do better than him despite not having any coaching experience in the field. But it may be a bit avant garde, let’s just say my opinion of him is he’s:

    1. A charlatan. When considering the source I place charlatans, snake oil salesmen, and Dartmouth grads in their own category. Couldn’t get into Yale, Harvard, or Oregon?

    2. On the Russian payroll. I gathered that from such subtle hints as him doing appearances on Russian state TV where he was telling us about the woes of the US dollar. 12+ years ago his brief foray into finance blogging began, and he spent about four years talking about the hyperinflation of the dollar. Here’s him on Russia Today in 2014: https://www.rt.com/shows/boom-bust/economic-myths-us-banks-937/

    3. A ghost. Because we had been told he was tortured and killed by the Seattle Kraken or the Ukrainian KGB. He appears alive and not tortured, so maybe he’s a ghost. What’s funny is the Russian media reporting his death had to say “special military operation” because you can’t call it a war in Russia.

That’s pretty much it, I can’t take guys like him or Graham Phillips seriously. Maybe it’s just super obvious to me and others what the jig is, and I’m being too harsh on y’all. Gonzo is a US Citizen, he’s welcome to come home to the warm bosom of America. Maybe Homeland Security can listen to him about how the SBU tortured him and pass it on the State Department. I hope they take diplomatic action and assist the Ukrainians in bringing the perpetrators to justice. He’s lucky he kept his head, the SBU have literally beheaded journalists critical of the president before. Find out what Zelensky did to Georgiy Gongadze.
