So, Michigan State has no chance...
-
UCLA was picked by Corso, Howard, and Herbie ...
They're fucked. -
Their game at Oregon will be a hell of a game.

Seems like a lot of people "in the know" think that Oregon's a bit on the overrated side from what I'm hearing
-
Every team in the PAC 12 except UW is overrated. I don't mean that to be a doog either, but UW is at least a top 25 team. Being ranked somewhere between 20-25 is right on.
UCLA and Stanford aren't top 10 teams. Stanford's schedule is too brutal and UCLA is marginally better than UW. Somehow Anthoy Barr, Marsh, Zumwalt, their best OL, and their best WR are getting glossed over. Their OL is still young and sucked last year. Good team, certainly a top 20 team, but not a title contender.
Oregon has the talent, but borderline imploded last year. They got blown out by Arizona, beat a bad Oregon State team by 1, an scored one TD against a lifeless Mack Brown coached Texas. I don't think any PAC 12 team makes the playoffs, and it won't be from getting screwed either. -
I can see it if they can beat
anTHE Ohio State. It's not crazy. -

You make a number of good points.
On paper, Oregon's got the best schedule in the conference and is set up to be in the Final Four. But at the same time, I don't know of anybody that has a ton of confidence in Helfrich and nobody really seems to mention that they have literally nobody to throw the ball to. Part of their success running the ball is teams having to worry about getting beat over the top. If they aren't worried about that, an extra guy is able to get into the box and blow up their east/west running game.
In the end, Stanford's really good but their schedule is ridiculous. Road games against UCLA, Oregon, Washington, Arizona State, and Notre Dame means that they will probably end up losing a couple of games.
UCLA seems to be all smoke and mirrors to me. They get no real breaks schedule wise as they have to play at Arizona St and Washington and have Stanford and Oregon at home. While they are a favorite to win the South, that means that they'll have to go through Stanford, Oregon, or UW again.
In all honesty, I'm not sure that I see any PAC team getting through the conference undefeated and even a 2-loss team could be what it takes to win a division. The "perception" of the conference from the East and South (SEC! SEC! SEC!) isn't strong enough IMO to be able to have a 2-loss PAC team make it in. -
