That sucks. They were fun to see live.

Should we also respect the decision?

I read his autobiography last year. I'm surprised I finished it because it became the same story over and over. Drug abuse, sex addiction, fights, troubles with dad, homelessness, sleeping on couches, tours that were successful, tours that were disasters, almost dying in a Montreal hospital, etc.
I'm guessing it was overdose or suicide.

I've definitely heard that story before somewhere...DerekJohnson said:I read his autobiography last year. I'm surprised I finished it because it became the same story over and over. Further proof the Pearl Jam is just classic / nostalgia rock, not grunge. Am I right @pawz or am I right?

Honestly have never heard of Screaming Trees (took a listen and it's pretty vanilla to my ears). Queens of the Stone Age got a bunch of commercial airplay, though.
Edit: Have heard "Nearly Lost You" a bunch of times. Didn't know that was Screaming Trees. -
It is not that he is gone too soon, as it never seemed he would make it this long. I just really liked him and enjoy his music. Damn.
